That is a really good video on the "The Fab Five". What happened to that sort of offense?!?!?

This years team looks a lot different in how they celebrate. Seems to be less of a team this year, with a lot less swagger!!

The guy behind center can't run it all that well. His recognition of coverages is a bit slower than the last guy and his line is a sieve.

at 2:15 in this video, we see the difference between a young, skittish aaron, and a savy veteran. Aaron would have either taken the sack, or rolled the right instead of staying in the pocket, releasing he's going to take a hit, but make a play before getting drilled.

Last season was the most fun year of watching football that I have experienced. So many great wins!!!

On a unrelated note, James Jones is a forgotten man. He is a pretty talented guy. Maybe not the fasted, but he has a nose for the big play.

I need to start listening to the homer radio announcers. I enjoy the touchdown celebrations a lot!!!

I'm not sure that is completely true. Rodgers held his ground time and time again against the Vikings, made the throws (sometimes complete, sometimes not) and got absolutely drilled. A couple of the hits were head snappingly violent, yet the next time he stayed in there again.

Much of what is being said of Rodgers are the cliches people think should be happening, not what actually is happening in the games.

Have you all forgotten that Favre, too, moved often to his right. Not so much a designed sprint-out, more of a designed "drift out"?

Actually you are amazed by the contrast between Yahweh's right and left hand. Or maybe disgust for the left.

Agreed. Wow so many great games watching with buddies/good memories. I remember the Super Bowl winning team in the late 90's too although I was young then, but the die-hard attitude was awesome. Not trying to bring up Brett, ok, just did, but (I like Arod even more than Brett this year) but hey Brett gave me and my buds a can't die mentality last year EVERY game and even though ARod throws up good stats, I just don't get the same vibe this year. Am I alone? I like Arod, but the hell if Brett didn't just give you the chance to lose (yet late in the game) the chance to WIN every game cuz you just knew it would happen (on note, never got that vibe in the NFC championship...wow that sucked).

I believe what you are describing is called field command or leadership. Reggie had it too. They didn't get it in 8 games. Who would of predicted Favre's career after 8 starts in 1992? Odds are Rodgers will never have "it" but we don't know that yet. First he needs to go through the fire and see if he comes out in one piece.

GB really has no big star right now to lead them. Rodgers and Hawk are too quiet and Hawk might not ever even make a pro bowl. TT needs to get some leaders on this team or he is going to get his ass fired.

I agree with you that I don't get the same vibe this year that Brett gave me last year. But putting things into perspective, I didn't get the same vibe from Favre in 1992 that I got from Favre in 2007. Remember Rodgers is a first year starter, not a savvy 16 year veteran. I didn't think he'd be doing as well as he has been, which in turn makes me believe that the future is brighter than I had thought in the past. He's only going to get better. He'll carve his own path to being a great leader, same as Favre did. But it's not going to happen over the course of 9 games.

The thing I dont see on our team has nothing to do with the QB. I remember our O line making it their mission not to let people touch Favre...and if they did they got a shot out of the deal. We were scrappier and just flat out meaner then. I get the feeling like we are losing that smash mouth essense.
