As we near the end of the college football season, many states have intense, intra-state football games such as Florida vs. Florida State, Oregon's "Civil War" of Oregon vs. Oregon State, etc.
This Saturday's Apple Cup may offer the worst intra-state college football game ever played. The Washington Huskies, winless at 0-10 travel to Pullman, WA to play the Washington State Cougars, who have won 1 game and lost 10.
That's right! Both teams have a sum total of 1 victory. WSU's only win came against Portland State, a Division I-AA school in a rebuilding mode under coach Jerry Glanville.
The winless Huskies are actually favored by 10 points. Patler, has there ever been any other time in college football history where a winless team is favored going into a game? Curious minds want to know! :)
