its time for pack to distinguish themselves from the mediocre squads in the nfc (at this point we're better than atl, skins, and cards!). as mark schlareth says the chemistry appears to be coming together at the right time

it only makes sense that it would take a minute for the pack to get into a groove, what with all the inuries and 1st year starter at QB (actually pleasantly amazing that aaron is dang near a pro-bowler this year - biggups!)

this road game will be close b/c aints are very talented and veteran. if bush plays our hands will be full (shades of titan's run game) but i believe grant will shine and aaron will rival brees' performace (mainly b/c no MAC DA GREAT... :( )

pack wins 31-27

I hope Reggie Bush has little or no impact on his return. He is a hell of a runner when he gets open.

I like the way our secondary matches up against there #1 passing offense. With that said, I think should easily out pace there scoring efforts with out WR and new found running game against thier less than average D.

This should be a fun game to watch as a Packer fan. I look forward to some more great leadership from AJ Hawk and the Defense to return anouther INT for TD. 8-)

It's always the same for me. Run the ball so you control the clock and keep your defense off the field. Mix in some play action (like Ohio State did against Michigan) so you can throw some bombs down the field. Get ahead and make the other team go into pass mode.

If the Pack wins the posters will be feeling might heady. If the Pack loses there will be a lot of shriveled wieners (and whatever the female equivalent of that would be - pliable nips?) on this site.

Go Pack, go!

if bush plays he'll be a bigger threat as a receiver than a runner. he only has 87 carries this year. i think we'll eliminate their wide-outs so the pressure will be on the linebackers to cover bush/shockey/miller. on offense we need to do exactly the same thing as last week. keep it simple, protect AR, run, and protect AR so we can extend drives that keep the D fresh and use up the clock. did i mention protect AR?

Monday Night Football, baby!

It's a perfect stage for the Pack to prove that they are a playoff team and show the league that they have the depth on D to overcome the loss of Barnett.

Brees has thrown 4 picks the last two games. Our guys are playing great in the secondary. Control Bush, pressure Brees and let's get a few turnovers.

If the Packers establish their run game again like last week, A-Rod and the offense will do just fine.

A-Rod had a great debut on MNF in week 1. Another solid performance in week 11 will demonstrate why the Packers have confidence in him and gave him a long-term contact. It also will prove that the Packers knew that they had two good qbs on the roster the last few years all along.

It's a big game for a lot of reasons. Go Pack!

What I'm looking for this game is whether our defensive backfield is as good as we like to pretend. They have consistently given opposing QB's their worst games of the season, but most of those QB's weren't much of a challenge.

This game will be the true test. Sure, the Saints will try to run it as much as they can, but the game will still be won or lost on Drew Brees' arm. If the DB's are as good as we hope, we'll get two interceptions this game, one for a TD and zero explosive pass plays. If they were overrated thanks to shutting down craptastic players like Hester, Ferrote and Grossman, then this Saints offense could wipe us out.

A BIZARRE STORY FROM THE BAYOU (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/11/22/a-bizarre-story-from-the-bayou/)

Here’s one from a reliable source that, frankly, is too weird to be fabricated.

Saints owner Tom Benson owns various car dealerships. We’re told that, each year, he brings a mini-fleet of new cars to the team facility in the hopes of getting some of his employees to make a purchase.

As we hear it, the players don’t really appreciate the sales pitch, due in part to the perception that they aren’t offered much of a deal.

This year, some of them made it known.

On Saturday, when players arrived at the facility to continue preparations for Monday night’s home game against the Packers, more than one of the cars was coated in a certain byproduct of the human digestive system.

So much for that new car smell.

It’s believed that two or more players were responsible for the mess, but we’ve yet to confirm the names of the suspects.

So that we all understand our upcoming opponent a little better...

Go Pack, go!

the good news is that both I and MM agree with this assessment. the bad news is that occasionally our line blows so bad that MM forgets it.

I think this game will tell us all we need to know. I can forgive the loss in minnesota due to several factors...bad calls, missed FG, and coming off a physical loss to the best team in the league. We have been coming on since beating Indy, and have lost a couple nailbiters. We showed what the team really is (I hope) against chicago.

This game will tell us if we are simply inconsistent and not really all that good, or if we are a legit playoff contender who is improving under our first year starter and having the run game come together at the right time.

GO PACK GO!!

I agree that Drew Brees is a remarkably accurate passing quarterback. Heck, I can still remember how he gave the Badgers' defense fits when he played for Purdue in college.

The Packers' pass rush is pitiful. If they cannot put any measure of a pass rush against Brees, he will just stand in the pocket and pick apart the secondary with his passing, IMO.

Those games lasted like 4 hours because Brees passed every down and the Badgers sat back and gave him short completions. Then Fletcher would pick him off for 6 late in the 4th and it was over.

I tend to be slightly pessimistic when it comes to games, so I share your fear. There's nothing more agravating when watching a football game, in my opinion, then watching the opposing QB drop back and have all year to stand around and look for someone. I hate that. And if the Pack can't generate a rush, it's going to be awful. Kampman does not seem to be having the year he did last year, and he's hurt, I see, but I hope he can lift this team up tonight. I also hope that one or two of the interior linemen can elevate his game and give the team a huge push up the mioddle so Brees can't scan the field so easily. Justin Harrell, is it time for you to step up your game, buddy?

I don't think Kampman is hurt. Rather, he has been constantly double teamed since Cullen went down. Kampman has the moves to beat any one DT in the league, but isn't the kind of brawler that throws two OL's to the ground while chasing down the QB.

Harrel doesn't really have to step his game up for his return to make a substantial improvement to our defense. Against the Vikings, Pickett, Cole and Jolly were each playing for 50-60 reps, and you could tell that they were too exhausted to stop a fly by the end of the game. Add Harrell, and they each got 30 some reps in the chicago game. That let them apply consistent pressure and stalwart run D in the second half. Having Harrell around as an extra body might be enough so that our Run D stops embarrassing us.

We all love to root for Kampman, but he is NOT being double-teamed. The last double-team I saw him near was inadvertent, when he made his way into the middle of a screen.

He occasionally gets chipped by backs or TEs, but he is getting home far less often. He is hurt by the lack of an effective KGB, as Kabeer would force QBs to step up, which changes the angle Kampman would have on his blocker. Jenkins this year WAS getting close, but even then AK wasn't picking up the pieces. I think his level of pass rush ability is enough to make a team (or O lineman) pay for a mistake, otherwise he has been blockable since Game 9 or 10 last year.

I sort of agree with you. This is a huge game. We need it badly. I don't get a great feeling though. Every time things look good this team sinks and every time it looks bad they rise. Both teams have their backs against the wall so it's going to be a battle royal. Whichever team shows they want it more by hitting the hardest is going to win. GB must run the ball and stop the run. If they can do that Rodgers is going to have time to find wide open receivers and Brees is going to turn it over.

In fairness to the BF worshippers, the jets played yesterday and the packers didn't so its only natural.

Mad, I don't necessarily have a "bad" feeling here, but this game will tell us which team is gonna make a push and which team is gonna continue to struggle. I like the way we have played lately and I think we win, but in honesty we still don't know for sure if this team has put it together. Tonight will give us that answer I think.

Kampman has seemed a bit less effective lately. I'm not sure if it is the lack of pass rushers helping him or just him slumping a tad. Remember we have no KGB, no Jenkins, and no Corey Williams....that was 3/4's of our 3rd down package last year wasn't it?

I agree, I feel the same way. I believe we'll see the saints employ trick plays and a lot of desperation. Even though we are the superior team and match-up with the Saints very well, as Partial pointed out, this is a make a break game for them at home that has me worried.

I think Green Bay should be able to pull this out, but I worry about their slow starts on the opening drives. I think we probably have more Penalties on our first drive of the game throughout the year than the amount of points scored on our opening drive. We have to be one of worst in terms of that in the NFL this year.(Correction from what I added up we do have more points than penalties on our first drive of the game. 10 points vs. 6 penalties:Not all penalties were accepted, that is an eye opening stat).

Some team finally shuts down that passing offense. The Pack matches up very well with NO and they surprise a lot of the national audience who didn't realize how good the Pack can be this year. Pack start the game running a lot of multi receiver sets and then sink into a running game mid 2nd. With a poor pass rush, and the Saints on their 4 and 5th sting CBs, AR has a field day.

AR 360 yds 3 tds o ints
RG 122 yds 2 tds

How good is NO's pass rush? If they give AR time he can pick them apart. If we can get Grant to run like they did against the bares last Sunday we should be successful.

Everytime he was brought down on that drive it was with an arm. No one had to hit him to the ground. Even on his long run (which should have went for a TD) he runs into Jennings fighting the defender. And what happened to his ass on the goal line stand??? A MARQUEE back gets the ball there.

Great start regardless. Now the pressure is on Brees to save the Saints season. I like that.

He got into a lot of people's hearts with his rasta hair and those 1 or 2 big hits he's ACTUALLY had. The reality is he is slow, takes bad angles, and has stinky hair.

I never jumped on his wagon; he is a great hitter and a guy that has no fear. In the right D he can be the intimidator. But I doubt his coverage skills will not scare many.

What is wrong with Rodgers tonight? That's like the third wide open for a touchdown receiver that he's missed. WTF?

at least he's not throwing the INT's

funny guy!

Did you read the JS article today; interesting stuff.

As I've said many times, we have less WOW's and less DAMMIT's to say this year

Wasn't Kuhn a halfback at Shippensburg or wherever he came from?

i miss the old bigby man

there is no old bigby. The old bigby sucked cock. the new bigby sucks cock. The intermediate bigby was barely adequate, but still longed after the long man.

he had a good couple of games in the playoffs and at the end of the year. other then that he sucked

On turf, injured he is useless.
