Where's PETA when we need them?

These animals have a God-given right to fart and burp--just like we all do. If it ain't in the Constitution, we better get the amendment process started.

This is not a news story. It is called sensationalism.

From the story itself, "EPA officials insisted Friday that the lengthy, highly technical report, which mostly focuses on other sources of air pollution, does not include a proposal to tax livestock."

Similar statements are made at least on 3 separate points in the story. Have you people no filters?

If you also thought it through a little further, you'd realize that these taxes would be paid with what? Think about it a little....The government may be a huge bureaucracy, but they're just not that stupid.

The real point here is that those of us who deny the leftist sham of manmade global warming have cited animal flatulence as a far bigger source of so-called greenhouse gases than internal combustion engines, factories, and air conditioners for a long time.

I guess the wacko environmentalists decided they couldn't defeat that point, so they would join in and condemn the poor animals. I wonder if they considered that wild animals fart and burp too, not just the ones that benefit us.

The polar ice cap is growing again. We've had almost a decade now of decreasing average temperatures. Do you suppose we will reach a point anytime soon where they will be forced to modify their idiotic and anti-American/anti-western civilization ranting?

Unfreaking-believable.

I think the gov't actually might make more money around the frat houses at our local universities. They could probably find more methane emitted after some of the keggers on campus than they could on the farm.

   It WAS global warming ....... until it became obvious that it wasn't--warming, that is.

What it really is is politics/socialism/America-hate/western civilization-hate--a sick agenda based on nothing but lies and demagoguery.

That's a "defense?"

Okay, sensible people, listen up!

In the future, please state clearly which environmental wackos you are referring to; either the global warming wackos or the global climate change wackos.

Some of the global warming wackos didn't get the memo about the CMA name chsnge.

Amazing that even the average dolt still believes this crap... it'd be funny if it weren't so sad - and expensive.

I do not buy the global warming or climate change crap. This year is the 3rd out of the last 4 years we have had snow on the ground since Thanksgiving weekend or shortly thereafter. For a while in the early part of this decade it seemed like we were having warmer winters but the past couple winters I have shoveled more snow than I can remember in a long time.
