I don't think the feelings of a 40-year-old QB are going to decide the future of the head coach.

Maybe they want Favre to come back next year, he can still play and gives the Jets franchise a little marketing buzz. But he's hardly a franchise QB now.

But what team would want him, especially at his salary?? Brett would have to take a substantial pay cut. If the Jets want to trade him what team is gonna take a 40 yr old QB who has problems performing late in the season when the weather goes south? :?

Only if they trade him within the NFC North. They could trade Favre to, say, Kansas City or Tampa Bay without having to forfeit additional picks to Green Bay.

I think Favre calls it quits in a month or two anyway, so I believe this to be a moot issue.
