The 2006 Schedule is supposed to be released tomarrow, any guesses??

week 1 at Bears
week 2 Saints
week 3 Rams
week 4 at Seahawks
week 5 -bye-
week 6 Minnesota
week 7 at Detroit
week 8 Patriots
week 9 at Eagles
week 10 at 49ers
week 11 Arizona
week 12 Jets
week 13 at Minnesota
week 14 Bears
week 15 at Bills
week 16 Detroit
week 17 at Dolphins

always interesting to see how close you can guess.... and sometimes you wonder when the league makes a schedule what they are doing, we've played the vikings after our bye at least the last 3 years... will it be 4?

Boy, that schedule seems pretty soft. If we were just an average team, I could see us doing the following:

week 1 at Bears - LOSS
week 2 Saints - WIN
week 3 Rams - WIN
week 4 at Seahawks - LOSS
week 5 -bye-
week 6 Minnesota - WIN
week 7 at Detroit - WIN
week 8 Patriots - LOSS
week 9 at Eagles - LOSS
week 10 at 49ers - WIN
week 11 Arizona - WIN
week 12 Jets - WIN
week 13 at Minnesota - LOSS
week 14 Bears - WIN
week 15 at Bills - WIN
week 16 Detroit - WIN
week 17 at Dolphins - LOSS

An average NFL team likely wins 10 games in 2006 with that schedule. Of course, we aren't likely to be average and you never know which teams will be good from year to year.

The League says there's a computer that calculates the schedule, factoring in parity, stadium availability, divisional races, rivalries, etc. Personally, I think there's this really, REALLY big dart board...
BTW, well done on the schedule, beakerman. Really hope we get a nice "break", as you have predicted, in weeks 9 thru 12.

Here's what I think we'll get. Keep in mind when the schedule comes out we won't have the late season SNF games on it yet, but I bet we get these if the season goes well.

week 1 Rams
week 2 at 49ers (M3 old team on MNF)
week 3 saints
week 4 at Seahawks (3:15)
week 5 Minnesota
week 6 bye-
week 7 at bears (3:15)
week 8 Arizona
week 9 at Eagles (tough 3 game away stretch)
week 10 at Detroit
week 11 at miami
week 12 Jets
week 13 at Minnesota (MNF)(December with 3 of 5 games at home)
week 14 Patriots (SNF)
week 15 at Bills
week 16 Detroit
week 17 Bears (SNF)
