Oddly, the direct is cheaper, but it doesn't leave until 7 p.m. and comes back Sunday morning at 8 which totally won't work because of the post wedding brunch. If I take a later flight back, it's about $50 more. If I take an earlier flight out so I can spend even a little time with these people, it's $100 more. And a connection.

Whatever you do, act quickly. IM and I were looking at Seattle/Milwaukee flights not so long ago and when we made a final decision, then went back to book, the rates had increased by hundreds. During the Holidays, the rates were so high that I could have flown from Seattle to Hawaii, back and forth, four times over, and it would have been cheaper than one jaunt between Seattle and Milwaukee. (and the Seattle to Hawaii route during the Christmas season is primo!) Air travel is ridiculous. Oh and save some extra cash... bring Pringles, bring Vodka "minis", don't check baggage... carry on...

That's pretty much how I roll--carry on all the way. You could always see if it's cheaper for the two of you to fly to DC...lol. I did end up booking the tickets. I found an acceptable time of day, but have a short stop each way.

Both of my dogs are bitches and listen to me. They also listen to my wife when I am not around, but when I am it infuriates her that they run to me (i am so great!!!).

OK, 14 lbs of beef cooking at my house today for Italian beef sandwiches for my daughter's graduation party. House smells pretty darn good. Lord knows why I decided to start this at 4pm as I will be up most of the night now. This was supposed to be a trial run but the meat I ordered from a distributor through work came in early. Gotta go with the flow and cook all the meat this weekend and freeze it which I guess I will be thankful for in two weeks when I'm preparing everything else and the meat will be ready to go just heat it up. Will see what this looks like and if it doesn't look like enough will be cooking another 14 lbs. tomorrow.

She didn't want two separate parties so my ex and I are throwing it together. He is buying the beer and pop and I'm cooking all the food. Little lopsided but some things never change :)

You know those photo booths they are doing at a lot of weddings now? I checked into the price of one of those for my daughter's graduation party......$600 :whaa: So we decided to do our own and it was a big hit at her party! .....for a hell of a lot less $. We set up a backdrop, she got lots of props...funny glasses, hats, feather boas, etc. We put a camera on a tripod and all the kids had a lot of fun with it....and many of the adults too! I have an awesome new family pic with my siblings! She's going to get double prints made and give one set to her friends and use the other for her graduation scrapbook.

5) How to photograph just the moon
To photograph just the moon by itself, without any objects in the foreground, you will need a long telephoto lens like explained above to magnify the moon and try to fill as much of the frame as possible. Even with a good telephoto lens setup though, you will most likely be cropping the final image, simply because only a telescope would be able to provide enough magnification to fill the entire frame. With your telephoto lens mounted in your camera, secure it on a tripod and point at the moon. Make sure that your tripod is good and stable enough to accommodate and hold your lens and your camera. When it comes to shutter speed, aperture and ISO, here is what I recommend for general use:
Camera Mode: Set your camera mode to full Manual Mode.
ISO: Set your ISO to 100 if you have a Canon DSLR and to 200 if you have a Nikon DSLR (basically, whatever base ISO you have in your camera). For most other brands, the base ISO is also 100. If you have a point and shoot camera, see if you can find a menu setting to set your ISO to 100. Make sure “Auto ISO” is turned Off.
Aperture: Set your aperture to f/11.

Thank you Joe, there is stuff in there that helped. I figured out the ISO, though I can't figure out why. I did the manual focus, but need to learn about the infinity setting.... I still haven't gotten a chance to look at the images on a larger screen...

After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly succesful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.
I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considerd myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen.

I didn't have long to wait. At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling to not bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel of in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, tore the lid of and positioned it under me.

The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing soon returned .Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the drawer for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon.I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so.I took a handful of them and tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found it's way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running it's engines behind me.

This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain.

The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before. unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering..." Ooooh that feels good ". Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involutary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction.

I can understand that having a sprout farted against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status...So to sum it up Veet removes hair, dignity and self respect...:)
