Colin Cole's contract is reported to be a five-year contract for $21 million with $5 million guaranteed. Good for him! I am always happy to see former Packers do well, especially when I do not mind them having left!

Cole isn't worth that type of money... But i'm glad he got the money he was looking for...
But from what I saw last year, he rarely got any pressure on the QB and many times he would just try to swat the ball as soon as the QB was throwing it because he wasn't getting through the O-lineman that was blocking him...
He is defiantly replaceable...

If Seattle is giving Cole this kind of money will/can they try to sign Canty too? :?:

I thought Cole was an idiot for turning down the Packers last offer.
I guess that's why I'm not an agent... well, that and I have scruples, and a soul, and that sort of thing.

Souls can be sold very easily, Mr. Hutson.
Good for Cole. And good for the Packers for not paying that money to a guy who, nice as he is, is essentially a stiff.
As opposed to a stiffy.

Good for Cole; seriously overpaid but good for him. I'd take Bernard over him even up and Cole cost more money.

Now we know why TT needs so many draft choices, when players are constantly being lured away by crazy money. There isn't enough cap room to pay every backup player like this, so the only way to get them "cheap" is through the draft.

I'm glad he got his $$, but I'm also glad we didn't give it to him...He's a decent player, but they overpaid.

He got his payday. Wonder why Seattle liked him so well.
It's been a weird year so far.
