Did this last year, bringing it back...
The Premise:
Pick 10 players YOU think the Packers will draft this year and what round you think they'll go in. Whoever racks up the most points, wins.
Scoring:
Points will be awarded according to the round the player was taken in, since predictions are proportionally more difficult in the higher rounds. One additional point will be added if the round prediction is correct. For Example:
If you predict the Packers will take B.J. Raji in the 1st round, and that happens, you get 2 points, 1 point for picking a 1st round pick, and 1 point for getting the right round.
If you predict the Packers will take Ron Brace in the 2nd round, but the Packers take him in the 3rd round, you will get 3 points for getting a 3rd round pick, but will not get the extra 1 point for getting the round right.
Feel free to edit your picks up until the start of the draft

That would be a crazy draft up until the Beckum pick. I'd be crapping my pants if that happened.

I ain't playing this game - but I am watchingfor other's choices.
My question is this:
When one "announces" a contest, shouldn't one customarily include a description of what the person who wins the contest receives?
Perhaps that'd get some more people to play?

1st Round: Oher
1st Round: Jenkins
2nd Round: English
2nd Round: Vontae Davis
3rd Round: Brace
3rd Round: Hood
4th Round: Pat White
5th Round: Beckum
6th Round: Melton
7th Round: Jamar Simmons
I used the 9th and 10th picks to give myself two chances in the first two rounds--even though I very much doubt we will have the extra picks.

If at first you go 0 for 10, try, try again...
First round:
Andre Smith (OT) Alabama 6-4 332
I don't know if I buy this guy as a LT in our offense, but I do like the idea of putting a big road grading tackle on our line. He could start out at RT, and frankly if he excels there and never plays LT I'd be OK with that.
Michael Crabtree (WR) Texas Tech 6-1 215
Ted's not scared of his arrogant attitude. Who DOESN'T think they're too good for the Browns and Rams?
Tyson Jackson (DE) LSU 6-4 296
A pick that might generate the typical yawns and shrugs among those that are reading two month old draft mags, but a few years from now there's little chance we would regret this pick.
Second round:
Ron Brace (NT) Boston College 6-2 330
High character, team first guy, impossible to move off the line, true NT.
Alex Mack (C) California 6-4 311
The brains, toughness, and athleticism of Wells in a much bigger, stronger body.
William Beatty (OT) Connecticut 6-6 307
Good character, agile, well suited to zone system.
Ziggy Hood (DL) Missouri 6-3 300
Hard worker, team leader, good size/athleticism, instinctive, active.
Third round:
Cody Brown (LB) Connecticut 6-2 244
Team captain, high character, mean, tough, pass rush skills.
Alex Magee (DL) Purdue 6-3 298
High character, high effort, good size/athleticism.
Lawrence Sidbury (DE/OLB) Richmond 6-2 266
Team captain, leader, quick, good size/speed, pash rush skills.

You have to have a sense of humor when predicting a Ted Thompson draft.
Usually the most unconventional and crazy predictions are right.
Predicting what Ted will do is not always going with what one would normally consider the right choice. For example you can list all NT's or OT's in every round and you can win.
Round 1
Malcolm Jenkins CB OH St
Too high for an LB and I think Raji is already taken.
(I'm only allowed 10 picks so unofficial secondary guess is Tyson Jackson, DE LSU)
2nd Round
William Beatty OT CT
or
Ron Brace NT Boston College
3rd Round (3B looks like a great trade down spot)
Asher Allen CB GA
Coye Francies CB OR St
4th Round
Xavier Fulton OT IL
5th Round
Dorrell Scott NT Clemson
6th Round
A. Q. Shipley C Penn St
Anthony Hill TE NC St
7th Round
Ra'Shon Harris D lineman OR
It already looks crazy. Maybe Ted will do it. He will probably trade and screw up my guessing.

Wow, thanks for the link to last year's. The winner got 2 names.
A few of us were in the running with one name correct.
Over half had zero names right and didn't get to hitting in the right round.
It really is folly to try and predict a Ted Thompson draft. It is humorus to see the results.
By the way why did you limit it to 10 choices? The Packers have 9 draft picks before Ted trades down. Some of those picks we don't even know where in the round the Packers will be picking with Ted trading down.
I think the 2nd round is a place he might trade down. Also the 3rd round pick from the Jets could be traded down. He is unlikely to trade down in the 6th and 7th rounds.

Sorry, I missed the Underwood pick. Nice pick. However you did have 16 players listed while the rules called for 10. So while I will acknowledge you had the most points, I think it's only fair to acknowledge that Chain Gang had the most points out of those who listed 10 players.

Packers picked up Simmons after the draft.
Shouldn't I get extra credit or something for getting a FA?
Undrafted FAs are sometimes called 'the 8th roud'. So I should get 8 pts - right?
