Well, she's roughly the same age as me, though a few years younger, and went to Oak Creek High School, so that should tell you whether or not you know her. Without you divulging your age, its hard for me to say.

Partial, what are the bars like in Platteville these days? A few years ago when I as a minor (LOL) we used to go to the bars there when I lived nearby. They seemed great at the time....don't know if the bars were that great or it was just because we were minors. I don't live as close now and the last time we were through Platteville we stopped to pick up rain gear from Farm & Fleet (I think) on our way to a Packer game.

I think so. My cousin who is 4 years older than me was grandfathered into the 18 limit, so it must have changed before he turned 21 (some time before 1988).

I believe the drinking age went up in 81 or 82. Last state to change their drinking age, god damn interstate tax funding was going to be cut by the national government if Wisconsin didn't change. Wisconsin law makers actually worked the numbers to see if they could make more money on the 18 year old drinking age, and give the finger to the national gooberment, the numbers just didn't work out in the end.

WI was also one of the last to change the legal limit of being intoxicated to .08. - same scenario, was threatend to lose millions in highway funding if they didn't.

All that does is make it look like WI has the biggest repeat drunk driving rate than any state in the U.S. !!

HarveyWallbangers
04-06-2006, 10:41 AM
Personally, I think the change to .08 is a bunch of crap. MADD is out of control. I also don't think the federal government should be usurping state's right issues by withholding funds to force states to adopt a federally mandated limit.

40 years old and living in Scottsdale, Az. I am older now, but still running against the wind.

Wisco, as I recall, changed the drinking age from 18 to 19 in/around 1984. Many of us hit bars when we were 14 or so. Nothing like be legal to drink in high school. Stepped out for a liquid lunch in high school many a time, and use to head down to Judges for taco tuesdays.."i'm going over to chuck's to study mom."

Back then you could still drink in the dorms at UW. So, you had some freshman and sophs (and the occasional junior/senior loser still living in the dorms) who could party, while others could attend but not drink. Part of your fees went to social events. We used to have Saturday 10 o'clock pregame screwdrivers and donuts in the dorms. Sanctioned by the university. It was freakin crazy.

grew up in Madison, just bought a house in the twin cities.

Hey No Mo, I grew up in Madison too! Lived near Camp Randall and the Field House in the early years - I can still smell Fall leaves burning (back when you could burn leaves at the curb) and hear the sound/roar of fans in the Stadium 4 blocks away when the Badgers
had a home game. Went to Madison West, the BEST ! Lived out by LaFollette High after I got married. Only live 90 minutes from there now but still lonesome for that town, there's nothing like it.

I am 19 teen years old, my b-day is on November 6, and live in Bowie Maryland. Bowie, IMO is the most boring place in the world. I really feel trapped here and can't wait leave this place. I go to Bowie state U. ( which is a historically black U.) and only a few friends there.

I had a picture of myself on my avator, but took it down b/c It felt kind of gay.

It's freakin' Wisconsin, man. Of COURSE we drink a lot.
Point of civic pride: Kenosha used to lead the nation in bars per capita.
We still have at least 1 bar per every thousand people (including infants, old folks, etc.).

Go Pack Go!Man, why is it that people make changes to there account then assume they have been banned?

Sorry to use you as an example KilrB but you made the change to your email then the account stops working. Why say you got booted? Why not just hit me up?

When changing emails it will require you to reactivate you account from the new email you changed to. I just checked your account and it shows it has not been reactivated. So you either used a invalid email or you didnt reactivate it. I went ahead and reactivated it and you should be able to log on fine. Let me know if you have any problem getting on to your origianl so I can delete the duplicate.

Because this is what is says in your FAQ's:

Have you been banned from the board? (A message will be displayed if you have.) If so, you should contact the webmaster or board administrator to find out why. If you have registered and are not banned and you still cannot log in then check and double-check your username and password. Usually this is the problem; if not, contact the board administrator -- they may have incorrect configuration settings for the board.

I had an account, I made a change to and from a working email address, when i tried to get a password change sent it said the account is locked. Even after all that I didnt think I was actually banned, i just thought it was something the site messed up on.

I wasnt trying to start anything or say anything bad about the administration of this site.

The non-male fans are allowed in here for the same reason cheerleaders are allowed at FB games and strippers are allowed at the club,,, to keep the men's attention!!!

For those that are newer let me inform you of the "EC Gang". This is the group the forum skirts have been a part of for a few years now. The EC stands for "eye candy" which is alway their #1 priority when it comes to judging NFLers. YOu should see some of the picture they have tried to submit for viewing. GBRulz took one zoomed in on Bob Harlans ass. I had to deny he request on that one.

So all new females can expect to be recruited into this EC Gang where thet will fit in nicely due to the fact women like staring at men's rump roast.
