This is a classic case of "Unfulfilled potential." He appeared to be a blue-chip high school recruit headed for a major college program and great success.

It will be interesting to see if he can make it at the pro level.

The dude has the measureables. Maybe an upgrade over Hunter.

The last DE from Oak Creek to make it big was...

The Tooz. John Matuzak.

Big shoes to fill, kid.

Doesn't look like he's going to make it with us. We had 78 on the roster before rookie minicamp, and we signed 3 tryout guys to contracts (the Pitt Punter, the Maryland OT, and the Maryland DE), and 80's the limit.

Probably, one of the two holdover punters gets shown the door, since 3 punters in camp is... unusual. But somebody would have to be cut for anybody else to make the team.

That being said... we have a lot more WRs on the roster than we're going to use.

He came to my school once when I was little. Big dude--especially when you're little. I know what you're thinking. Shut up.

the Badgers can desperately use him. Their defensive line are all guys who could have played "Rudy". Does he have any eligibility?

Overhyped???

Rhyan Anderson was massively overhyped, like a number of Oak Creek players under former coach Joe Koch. Say hello to Victor Reynolds. Say hello to Raymond Henderson.

Koch, besides being longtime suspected of cheating (not like it is unknown at Oak Creek...stripped of the track and field title), is known to hype his players/program...leading to 4/5 stars. However, they don't perform that way in college..if they can even stay eligible. One of the things that helps Oak Creek is that they run a college type weight lifting program.

Look at Beckum. Way overhyped as a defensive player. Koch even told beckum that his future at TE was poor.

The proof, for me, is that despite all that "talent" he was unable to win state.

2 sacks at in college....we should be embarrassed to even discuss this guy.

Looks like tarzan, plays like Jane.

Everytime is see this phrase - or write it - I expect Torrance Marsahall's [sic] 'girlfriend' to show up and defend him.

You're the one who brought him up. Why are you agreeing that we should be embarrassed to be discussing him.

Ty, I have family at Oak Creek, so just watch your step, buddy :smack:

You remember that! From back in the JSO days, right?

That was really, really weird.

I wonder what Torrance Marshall is up to these days. Working at a Payless shoe store, maybe?

I think T.M. died.

Or am I confusing him with Wayne Simmons?

edit: I guess he's not dead yet. He went on to be a fullback in Arena Football, even setting a record for touchdowns.

Was saying yes to the looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane, thing. Didn't see the above portion.

That's a big man moving awfully quick. One has to wonder how he had so little production.
