I was just listening to a Miles Davis song, and realized that I may have heard it a thousand times and am not even close to tired of it. So I was wondering what albums or CDs or twitter tweets you have listened to hundreds of times without getting sick of it. Yeah...i'm pretty much a sucker for anything B&S put out...smart, sardonic, witty....what's not to like?

Mogwai...anything psychedelic gets me.

Those were ones that i never get tired of...i've listened, seen and liked Pedro. Though the Xianity/faith thing isn't really my thing, but i certainly can appreciate Bazan's talent and why people like him.

No knife...I can only listen to one knife band...SHONEN KNIFE. I've heard them also....get my fill of that style with ATDI, Fugazi, Clash, Sparta, etc...but, i'll revisit.

Los: What a gorgeous voice. Some of the best shows i've seen. Much more applicable/relevant now that i live in AZ..and with our current immigration policies.

Earle: Love him as well..and fits my politics. Bought Exit O after hearing "i ain't ever satisfied" just once on the radio.

I like their albums, but kinda dissappointed with concert experience. I think they are sort-of a bar band, they don't project to giant audience.

I pirated a copy of their album "Homework", listened to it once, was gonna throw it out, but labeled it "Load of Crap" and threw it in a box. I thought it was corny.

Then I gave it another listen a couple years later, guess I was in the mood for a load of crap. So its start to grow on me, and pretty soon I'm playing it over and over in the car. Its a guilty pleasure, like a BeeGees disco album.

I don't see how a well-adjusted, grown man can listen repeatedly to that shlock.

I know Norah Jones is really talented, I've seen her a few times on TV and she is an incredible singer. She can do WAY better material.

The songs on the that album are for love sick teenage girls. I was forced to listen to that album repeatedly when it first came out in coffee shops which employed love-sick, teenage girls. The songs are so drippy and dopey and formulaic. There is so much better music in that genre, say a Sarah Vaughn album, if you're feeling tender.

Its hard to justify disliking that album so intensely. Its not the songs themselves. She uses the same emotional device, a trailed-off breathless yearning, on every goddamn phrase on every goddamn fucking song from beginning to end. It sounds premeditated, the creation of a heartfelt sound rather than a sound from the heart.

I saw Nora Jones sing a Marvin Gaye song, , "Trouble Man", with just her own piano accompaniment on a late night show (OK, I confess, it was Carson Daly) and it was mesmermizing. Incredibly soulful, she sang it better than MArvin Gaye, which ought to be impossible. She is an amazing talent.

To some extent it was premeditated. I read in an interview where she said she intended to avoid "oversinging" on the album, ala Mariah Carey and the like. She suggested at the time she may have overdone it. I suspect you agree.

Plus, part of it is dancing. If listening doesn't get you moving..then you are missing the point.

I didn't say you don't like electronic. I said you either get Daft or you don't. They took the best of house and mixed it with everything bad about French pop.
