Life just keeps on getting worse for one of the worst busts in NFL history:

The guy had a 4-17 record with 14 TD passes and 36 interceptions. Compared to him, Tony Mandarich was a steal.

And at least Mandarich got off the drugs finally. Leaf sounds like a total mess.

I thought he was going to be better than Manning. Dont ever listen to me even if I do make a draft prediction.

Did Bretsky Kiper have this guy as a sure fire hall of famer?

Especially when you consider all that SD traded to move up from #3 to #2 for the privilege of drafting Leaf.

Remember the huge debate as to which QB should be drafted first, Leaf or Manning?

One turned out to be a great, future HOF quarterback while the other turned out to be a huge bust. Character may have been the deciding factor in separating the two QB's.

Manning's Character isn't psycho like old Ryan's is. I don't much care for Manning's Character but he does have something Leaf never had, talent.

Most people considered Leaf to have more talent than Manning. Manning was more of a sure thing, Leaf had the potential to be even better, but was raw.

Leaf's psychological issues were well known. Beatherd (spelling?) took the gamble and lost.
