Kimbo Slice in the UFC. Just Committed to TUF. Now What?

Kimbo Slice just signed on with Dana White and the UFC to be in the running for the HeavyWeights in Season 10 of the Ultimate Fighter on SpikeTV in Sept. Dude is a standup beast, but that is it. But damn can he hit.

First off, Snake is a HUGELY knowledgable dude about anything UFC/MMA. This shit is just about as good as the NFL. Amazing. Watch SpikeTV for the Ultimate Fighter (TUF) for 2 seasons a year. Amazing fun sport.

Pretty crazy shit, but Kimbo is not the man most think, but fun to see he's facing 4 former NFL players in Sept. at TUF 10. I'd love to see Kimbo get it all and win it as that is just drama to face my hero redneck from Minn. Brock Lesnar who knocked out my other hero with a TKO, Randy Couture:

So what happens? Does Kimbo get a shot in UFC by dominating or look like a punk and lose quick. Either way, Kimbo will hit someone in the face in the reality show on TUF. Good ass shit..and man Dana White is the best marketer in all of sports by far. Wow.

Kimbo is street slang for shit. I shouldn't say that. I'm sure he's got a lot of heart to be a fucking bum and get into the position he is now. His story has done a majority of that work though. There's hundreds of guys more talented out there that don't have the beard or the bum story who deserve the chance and won't get it because they aren't called Kimbo.

I'm sure he must have worked on his ground game to get signed on for the show, otherwise he wouldn't last half a minute against those guys that make the TUF try-outs. Still every one of those guys is going to want to bury him.

Two questions:

1. Is he clean? No history of steroid dependency that has left permanent damage? Great sportscar with no engine?

2. Beat in 14 seconds! I hated the hype and the result made it all the worse. Does he have the heart?

I hope he lasts a while and makes the show interesting. It's good he's trying to get legit and willing to pay the price to do it.

He was working out with Bas Rutten for a while. Sure his stand up game was good, for a youtube street fight. He had a little training probably early on in his life and he used that to beat on fools.

Dana always said that the only offer he would ever make to Slice was to be on TUF, and if he won the show, then he could be in the UFC, other than that he called him a fucking joke.

He got dropped with a weak jab, sucks when good fighters land bombs on him. The heavies on TUF might not be very good though, HW is a really tough weight class, not a whole lot of talent there.

Either way, it's interesting that Kimbo is willing to take on TUF after all the shit (BTW, it was deserved) from Dana White. He knows that is his ONLY shot at EVER getting into MMA again after that 14 sec. joke in his last fight. TUF is always good TV though, as I really like USA's Demarques Johnson standing up to UK coach Bisping and whipping his cap in his face last week. Bisping is a whiny ass bitch. That's good TV...but then again. It's all gravy as Dana White is GREAT at what he does...Rounding up new talent...getting attention/ratings.

No doubt this is Kimbo's last chance though (no idea if he has a bit of defense/ground game now or who he's trained with). Not sure what to think, but damn if someone pisses in Kimbo's Cheerios. Dude might be a fake MMA guy, but looks pretty thug life, so I wouldn't want to be that guy to do the pissing. :shock: Either way, great coup by Dana White as that makes a great Season 10 on TUF. Can't wait to see the former NFL guys talk shit on Kimbo and his reaction. 155 guys are funny, but pissed off 235 guys with a chip might make Kimbo go nuts. Either way, good TV, and love to see if Kimbo can disprove his BS hype as a REAL fighter. So what is it? Does he have a chance? I think so.
