So is it possible to sign him soon? I would LOVE to see the Pack just sign him for a nice long time right away. any thoughts on this actually happening? you know maybe just take number 5 from last year and add 10%?

The Packers have the cap space to give him a deal with a major signing bonus. They will get a deal done before the start of training camp. Hawk isn't the type to haggle over a few dollars, and TT and Brandt have been pretty quick to get guys into camp. Hawk is a solid investment, he is already a complete player, but with a high ceiling. He is already considered a legit starter in the NFL, meaning that any of the 32 teams would start him immediately if they had him on the roster.

There is a reason the first practice is an evening practice.

Hawk will be signed that afternoon just before practice.

those first round picks always sign in bunhes because it comes down to that stupid "bracketing" thing they do. Once one guy signs it seems to domino unitl most if not all are in perfect order salary wise.
