A Town Manager in Florida was fired when it was learned that the lady he recently married is a porn actress. Story:

Reports are that he was doing a good job, and everyone was happy with his work. But he is an employee at will, who can be fired for no reason. The town apparently was concerned with their image.

This guy worked in local gov here in the past I believe. Unfair.....you don't fire someone because their wife is a porn star.

Bullshit. It was all about judging who he married.

Pretty harsh. I probably wouldn't have vacationed there anyway, but now I definitely won't.

Firing him because they were concerned about the town's image for having a manager married to a pornstar is not judgmental about his wife's career? Geez, you would think these people were politicians or something! :?

Ya, you really have to wonder how much it would have affected anything if they kept their mouths shut about it. Sure the locals would have known, but so what? As for their image to outsiders, how many non-local people dealing with a town manager even know if he is married or not?
