Jones or Jordy?

By all accounts, both players look big and in shape. Supposedly Nelson has a much better grasp on the O and looks fluid and quick, but has been dropping a lot of balls. WSSP is saying that Jones is looking like a star and is running away with the 3rd receiver spot.

What do you speculate?

He'll make them both sad.

I voted James Jones. He is in his third year--often a stage where NFL receivers finally grasp all the intricacies of the passing game.

His sophomore year was impeded by nagging injuries but he appears healthy now.

I have always liked the way he catches the ball with his hands away from his body rather than simply trying to catch it by cradling the ball.

If Jones can stay healthy, he'll run away with the 3 WR spot and will catch more balls.

I love Jordy, but JJ is just more talented.

I voted for Jordy.

I agree that JJ is more talented, but it appears that Nelson has more dedication to perfection for catching the ball and running routes.

Listen, I don't want to dissuade anyone from sharing their thoughts, but didn't we just have this exact conversation?

11 pages worth...

I'm all for position battle speculation, but at some point Jordy and James can only fill so much space. I'm going to start longing for Favre threads soon.

You went with the obvious!

Before I saw your post, I was going to go with: "Jay Cutler's chin"

Jordy hasn't wowed me yet, but Jones has. I am hoping the Jordy I saw in college film is the real deal, but from what I have seen in the pros JJ is a playmaker.

I think Jones is ready to break out...and he has the size and strength to be a major factor in the redzone this season.

I voted Jordy cuz he's the coache's fave....But JJ flashes more potential if all cylinders are firing.

I'll go with the experience curve and James Jones.

It's a tight vote 12 all.

I agree with this completely, yet still think Jordy will get more looks. Possession guys tend to quietly rack up a lot of catches.

It could actually end up being FINLEY.

Just read in an article that somene said he is "unguardable" so far in camp. Could just be a lot of hype, but everyone knew that this kid was very raw, but also very talented when they drafted him.

It could actually end up being FINLEY.

That would probably be best case team wise. Looking forward.......how great would it be if Finley develops into a top 3 receiving TE in the league? Not saying that will happen but there does seem to be a chance. Will he? It's fun to think at this point the possibility exists.
