Tennessee is going to have to find more cap room and the place it always has found it is McNair, who carries a $23.45 million salary-cap figure for the coming season.

didn't this cap number come as a result of him re-structuring several times for the team? If thats so, what a terrible way for the Titans to treat him. Yeah that cap # bites, but they had to know if would happen sooner or later.

Yeah that cap # bites, but they had to know if would happen sooner or later.That's called using your QB and dumping him when the bill comes due. Classless.

Yes, he has renegotiated serveral times to give cap relief. The titans have less than $1mil left under the cap right now, before the draft!

They've talked about extending his deal to spread out the cap hit. If they do cut him, I wonder what the hit would be? You'd have to think at least half that, i.e. $10mil or so.
