It's September. The season should be starting this weekend - not next. This is an outrage.

It's the new NFL.

Everything is backward these days. School starts before Labor Day and the NFL after. Nuts to that (not the deputy). Next thing you know there will be an uneven number of games during the season so we can have a neutral site game for each team, so some games can be played out of the country.

This is what's wrong with this country these days, dammit.

It's all going to hell.

NFL's pad level is too low.

I think the 18 (or 17 mebbe) game season is gonna come pretty soon.

Teams aren't selling their games in the eco crunch.

J'ville better get rolling, for instance.

You eliminate 2 pre-season games and presto chango, you've got 18 games that are a whole lot easier to sell.

Fans are rebelling at the fake games, the last pre-season games are beyond a farce.

We'll get that fixed.

Ray Rhodes is still trying to get his secondary fixed from 1999.

Allow me to clear up any confusion:

It's inbetween the Pre-Season and the Offseason.

Antwan Edwards was recently neutered. Does that count?

Actually, my neighbors brother in laws sister gave me the "real" inside scoop. Last spring, in the middle of planning for the 2009 NFL schedule the NFL IT department installed all new state of the art Macintosh's, and replaced all the blackberrys with brand spanking new Iphones.

The resulting improved communication network caused such a flurry of collaboration, that the schedule was forgotten for 10 days and when issued, this was the best that they could do.

The good news is the 2010 season will be so well organized, they're going to cram an 18 week schedule into the same 17 weeks we have now.

All hail the Mac!
