Boy, it's wonderful being a Packers fan before the first game has even been played.

I hate being the paper champion. I don't think we are quite there--as I think the majority still are picking the Vikings as division champions. It's getting close though. On the plus side, the players have to be feeling the same enthusiasm as the so-called experts.

Bears beating the Saints, that's high comedy there.

... On the plus side, the players have to be feeling the same enthusiasm as the so-called experts. I don't think the players are paying much attention to the pundits, but if you watch the interviews at packers.com, there is a major feeling of confidence going through the locker room. Woodson thinks we are contenders for the SB and has given major respect to Arod. Jennings has said that as long as they execute they'll win against any team in the league. Rodgers has argued that this is the best O-line in his tenure. Poppinga is jumping off the walls with his enthusiasm for the "aggressive" style of defense (seriously, is this guy on ritalin yet? vid (http://www.packers.com/multimedia/videos/2009_non_game/video_20090909__1d13fa65e2ed__5168d8518c5d/) )

Even stoic Kampman has been positive, saying that this feels a lot more like 2007 than any other year. There's some major enthusiasm in this locker room, which will hopefully translate to the field. The players have completely bought into the scheme on both sides of the ball. Credit to M3 and the new defensive staff.

That's it. I am rooting for the Lions this year. Can someone please start a Detroit Lions forum?

Nobody wants to. You are now the only one rooting for the Lions.

Saints as the number one seed? That seems highly unlikely. At the same time, the Cowboys seem to be getting very little love from the hairdo media.

I will need to be a Lions fan for a while to qualify for the non judgmental sharing, but I've bookmarked it for future use. As a fan of the the DEEE-troit Lions, I am sure embarrassment starts quickly.
