The Bengals take the lead on the Steelers with 14 seconds to play.

TD Pass and 2pt conversion to take a 3 point lead. Benson, 16 rushes for 76 yards versus the superbowl champs.

Maybe the Bengals are not as bad as everyone thought ?

Nope. Maybe people will stop calling the loss last week "shocking" now.

The Bengals look to be a pretty good football team. Maybe the Packers aren't as bad as some think they are. Maybe the've split with two 2-1 teams at home and just beat a bad team by 20 points. That doesn't sound so bad. There are definetely things that need to be fixed, but hey we are 2-1 going into a huge game with the Vikings. I can't wait for Monday night. I want to pick up off old #4 at least three times.

There is another explanation.

The Steelers are not playing so well.

I agree but Steelers are still hard to beat.

I was there.

A really wild-ass game.

Lotta fights in the stands and strange play on the part of both teams.

The Steelers blew it, but the Stripers did win in the end.

Steelers defense is just not the same w/o their all pro safety.

He needs to switch his shampoo. Ever since he started using Head and Shoulders, he's become fragile.

It's a long season. The Pack is 2-1. No one knows yet how good or how bad this team is, but it's clear there's room to improve.

Let's not forget the postives, though.

There is another explanation.

The Steelers are not playing so well.

They don't have Palamalu. They aren't the same team without him. Not close.

And yet, when Green Bay was playing them without their Pro-Bowl safety, it was irrelevant for some on here. Interesting....

No inference meant to you MiPackFan

Like Baltimore's or Jacksonville. Most of the seats btwn the goal lines. The late 90's, early 2000's design I guess. It was a nice day and the emotion built as the Bengali's came back.

I was going nuts trying to figure out the Pack score after seeing the 1st half in "jerkovision" on the computer.

Did that Martin play safety or did they use Chillar as a big safety all game?

Martin played a bit, but they used "Big Okie" as Capers called it for much of the game as their base defense.

None taken. I wouldn't claim that collins is in Palamalu's league either. That guy is one of the few special players in the league.

I would not make that claim either. Polamalu is one of those rare players that seems to lift everyone around him to play better.

Similar to Reggie White, in that regard.

Before this year, Polamalu had missed 8 games the last 4 years and the Steelers were 6-2 in those games. I wouldn't write them because of one injured player.

Harvey, why do you have to bring facts into the matter? Everyone here knows decisions are made better on emotions, or barring that, anecdotal evidence.

I certainly won't write them off, but it will take a bit to recover. They are certainly reeling right now..

Pitt is a good team. With or without Polamalu.

We lost to a team that has since gone on to beat the defending SB champs. Maybe we should've beat them, but it's hardly a 'sky is falling' problem.
