Most pro games bore my tits off. College football is wild and crazy, man. You don't know what is gonna happen, and the teams are always so enthusiastic. Sure, a great pro game might be the best, but how often do they happen?

Harlan,

You spend most days watching The View and C-SPAN. Your gripes about pro football are a little hollow.

Packer games are always fun to watch because we know the team well.

I can't sit through a whole pro game if the Packers aren't playing, well except for the playoffs. Nothing happens in most games.

I don't watch the View anymore, it went downhill without Rosie.

I like the first part...EPL rocks but Man Utd sucks. Magpies may not win the EPL, the Champions league or even the domestic cup but they kick ass!

Holy shit. They got relegated!

Checking the tables you aren't messing with me. I guess with all the Favre stuff this summer I missed that. Haven't caught any games since the season began.

Wow.

When the hell was the last time they weren't in the top flight? They got the best ground in St. James' park in their division I'd bet.

I dont like the non-conference schedule that allows BCS-conference teams to destroy cupcakes by 50 points. Boring. The occasional App. State upset is fun, but too rare. I propose making all BCS conference teams play only other BCS conference teams for their non-conference games. Sorry Wofford!

uhhh, no, the logic is not that more junior levels are always more interesting. Just that college is a better game than pro.

I like it when non BCS schools like Utah and Boise State beat up on BCS schools in BCS bowls.

That makes sense. Alan's still in his 30s and has a lot to learn. It was only yesterday he was my favorite player on the England national team.

I think I enjoy the pro game more because I have an opportunity to get to know the players for a longer period of time and know who they are. With college, it's just a couple season and they're out. The pro game is also faster with bigger hits. Except against the QB, specifically Tom Brady. Can't breathe near him or its 15 yards. Also I love the wide receivers in the NFL, what they can do while still keeping both feet in is exciting and impressive.

You could make a case that the College game is better because the talent disparity is greater, both within each team and from team to team.

Thus the lack of consistent talent allows for more "exciting" big plays to occur as mistakes and pure abilities are displayed. Exactly why a guy like Reggie Bush is a stud in college and an average joe in the pro game.

In the pro's, the talent levels are not as varied (good to bad), so player execution and schemes play a bigger role in the games outcome than just talent alone.
