The Green Bay Packers today signed wide receiver/kick returner Cory Rodgers, the team's first of two selections in the fourth round of April's NFL draft.
The 6-foot, 186-pound Rodgers played collegiately at Texas Christian. An All-America kick returner, he left TCU after his junior season as the school's career leader in kickoff-return yards (1,747) and total return yards (2,572). His 4,798 all-purpose yards were second behind only LaDainian Tomlinson (5,499).
Rodgers becomes the seventh of the Packers' 12 draft picks to sign.
Remaining to be signed are: linebacker A.J. Hawk (first round), guard Daryn Colledge (second), linebacker Abdul Hodge (third), guard Jason Spitz (third), and quarterback Ingle Martin (fifth).
