Didnt realize this guy was 6-4 and holds career records in receptions (152), receiving yards (2,867) and touchdowns (26) at Mississippi College.
Don't really remember much about this guy during preseason but remember hearing he was one of the most improved players in training camp this summer. I think we should just promote this guy instead of signing someone else and see what he has.

Unfortunately, Mississippi College isn't one of the Mississippi teams that play in the SEC.

I think its more likely that they DO promote rather than sign. They may do both. He's at least been into the playbook which may help a lot.

I thought this was another of those name changes like with Bert and Alan. I leave this thread disappointed. :(

If the Packers decide to go with someone off the street, there are several who have experience in their offense. Among the available players who have spent time with the Packers are Shaun Bodiford, Robert Ferguson (who had been in training camp with the Atlanta Falcons this summer), Chris Francies, Carlyle Holiday and Koren Robinson.
The nightmare never ends.

Ughh. How many interceptions were a result of him flipping the ball way into the air?

Packers promote WR Allen
The Green Bay Packers have signed receiver Jake Allen off their practice squad to replace injured Brett Swain, an NFL source said.
Allen, 24, spent all last season and the first six games this year on their practice squad. With Swain out and receiver Jordy Nelson expected to miss several more weeks because of a knee injury, Allen will be the Packers’ No. 4 receiver.
Swain injured his knee last week at Cleveland, will have season-ending surgery and be placed on injured reserve.

I like this move. On a macro level, it's great to give the PS guys hope. If they bust tail, and something comes open, they'll get a shot.
The kid does seem to have potential, and he's going to know the system. So this is a far better move, given what's out there, than grabbing someone else's cast off.
I've cracked on him for the state of the OL, but TT deserves some credit for this move (and yeah, if Clubber Lange works out, I may have to do further re-evaluations).

Good move. I liked him in the pre-season. He's big with good hands.
I'd feel comfortable, now, with running four wideouts against the Vikes.

I like the kid too... bit on the skinny side right now but plenty of frame to grow into and seems reasonably athletic.
I'm calling he has a "big game" with 2 catches for 43 yards ... 8-)

Let's hope you're right...and not because one or two or our other guys is hurt, but because their playing four wideouts. The Pack is really fortunate to be so deep at WR. I think Jones might have a big game Sunday. With the Vike's top DB out, why not flood 'em with receivers. They weren't that good on pass defense even with the top guy playing.

As long as he handles his special teams duties well, anything he produces on offense is gravy. I'm hoping for a big game = bone jarring hit on a MN returner causing a fumble.

Well, it looks like neither Brett Favre, nor Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Chad Clifton, Darryn Colledge, Scott Wells, Brady Poppinga, Jason Spitz, Alan Barbre, Spencer Havner, AJ Hawk, and Brandon Chillar will be at that club.

He scored 14 on the Wonderlic. Don't know if that's good or bad.
