It looks like ole Bud got caught up in the moment and sent a few middle fingered salutes in the direction of the Bills and their fans. He's 86.

"I got caught up in the excitement of a great day"

So when he's happy and excited he starts flipping people off?

Wearing white shoes and powder blue suits must do that to a man.

See, Vince Young just brings everyone down with him

Hey, the Titans are 3-0 with him starting this year. He's not being spectacular but solid enough to get the wins. Credit where credit is due.

2TD's, 132 yards rushing, 5.1 YPC, and 100 yards receiving. Chris Johnson gets the credit.

1) If getting caught up in the excitement leads to flipping the other team the double bird, what does he do when the Titans are losing?

2) How much excitement could there really be in beating a crappy Buffalo Bills team? Do the Titans and Bills have some basis for a rivalry? Are the Titans still pissed that the Bills staged that comeback for the ages against them back when they were still the Oilers? Or maybe he just got caught up in a "but for the grace of the football gods, there go I" moment: two very disappointing teams, one of which is beginning to make some noise while the other is plummeting even further into the depths.

What kind of world do we live in where a man can be fined 250,000 dollars for giving somebody the finger? Jesus. That money better go to charity.

There is something just funny about a 86-year old going off in a bird flipping fit.

A $250,000 fine though is absolutely ridiculous. Bud Adams should save his birds for Roger Goodell.

So what would be the fine if Adams was not a billionaire? How much were Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Vick fined for their birds?

This PC NFL is too much to take. Good thing ole' Bud did not call the guy a 'fag' and then flip him off. I guess the NFL would strip him of his franchise.

I believe it was $5k (could be wrong on that) and Vick got $20K

Boy, I bet Goodell was howling while they were trying to come up with an amount that would get a billionaires attention.

On the memo part of the check, he should draw two hands giving the NFL the bird.

Ridiculous. Some old rich geezer flips a double bird and is fined $250K but a HC beating up an assistant gets zilch?

Exactly. Tom Cable goes psycho and breaks an assistant's jaw and the almighty righteous NFL does.......what? Nothing.

Bud Adams already made an ass out of himself and apologized. Does he really need to be fined? If so, fine him $10,000 and be done with it.

$250,000? Insane. I hope Roger Goodell never gets a job in Washington dealing with tax policy.

What's the history of owners being fined? If they're all up in that range, then it isn't ridiculous.

Pretty steep fine for sure but the NFL had to do something pretty significant IMHO. Not that there was likely to be an outbreak of owners taunting fans come Sunday but there are some that take an insult like that pretty seriously and the last thing the NFL needs is some owner starting a damn riot.

Agreed that that the NFL should donate the money to a charity.

After looking at the pictures of the guy, even though he's an NFL owner....I'm glad I'm not that guy.
