Sure he is...but Al is NOT a great fit for this type defense, and his speed isn't going to get any better going forward. He will start to decline quickly at some point...better to replace him BEFORE that happens.

I didn't say he had to be replaced NOW.

1-2 sweeps per game for Green Bay is required by the NFL bylaws.

Besides he did have a big gain on the outside in the first half.

Okay, first and ten from the other team's 37. You run the ball, right, not run a no back play. I hate MM sometimes. Christ, dude, you run it twice and get six yards and then you're in field goal range.

Why does he insist on a no back formation that allows the other team to pin its ears back and then sack the QB? What the hell is he thinking?

Well, who else is going to get it? Wynn? Green?

Jackson is a high draft pick with strong talent who is starting to come into his own. The coaches have been very high on this kid the last few weeks as a blocker...and now are giving him chances as a receiver, and he's looking good there as well.

He will never be a starter IMO...but he can be a fabulous 3rd down back.

Not really. We had nothing behind Favre...who was a 35 year old QB.

Some things to be happy about, but a lot to be concerned about. This looks like the classic 9-7 team, maybe 10-6, but not a Super Bowl contender.

Special teams almost cost this game. Defense didn't come up big despite being put in a favorable position - a three score game with less than a dozen minutes left.

Ugh. But they won.

Weird. If the game had ended when it was 30-10, I'd have been guzzling kool aid. But now I'm back to that "This is a 9-7 or 10-6 team, tops" feeling. Not enough talent, really, and worries about Al Harris and Kampman.
