I'm a little surprised. I bet I know how he's going to celebrate.

He was a helluva player.

I should clarify - he was a helluva football player.

I'm not really familiar with the Packer Hall of Fame and what credentials are needed, but was Chmura really that good to be in even a Packer Hall of Fame? Seemed to me he benefitted greatly from the talent around him. A good player, but not that great.

3 Pro Bowls will get you noticed.

You are pretty much a lock for the Packers Hall of Fame if you make multiple Pro Bowls. Heck, Majik Man made it based on 1 great year and a couple of decent years.

Lynn Dickey better be in, then. Dude was in my opinion the third best QB ever to play for the Pack - though I can't say I know much about the Cecil Isbells (sp?) of the world.

Cecil Isbell played with his left arm chained to his side so that he would not re-injure his shoulder. He was a very good quarterback.....it didn't hurt to be throwing to Hutson though.

Arnie Herber, from what I have read, was an excellent quarterback.

For awhile they both played in the same backfield and would throw to each other....in one game Isbell threw two TDs to Herber, and Herber completed three passes to Isbell.

Now, get me a beer Sammy.

Donnie Anderson? Edgar Bennett?

I'm sorry. Bennett was a nice complementary piece, but he wasn't that good. His usual line seemed like it was about 17 carries, 65 yards. He was a competent guy, a solid guy - I liked him fine. But Hall of Fame? Wow.

Same with Donnie Anderson. One half of the gold dust twins. Couldn't hold Taylor's smelly jockstrap.

Sorry, Chewy doesn't deserve to be in the Packer HOF. While he had good stats for his 4 yrs starting, he only had 4 yrs of stats. Nowhere near enough to be inducted.

I think Chewy did enuff to get in, but there will be a lot of static over the charges he faced.

I don't know about Marv Fleming and Greg koch. Marv was a spear carrier on those championship teams.

Koch? A solid OLineman and all, but shouldn't a Packer HOFer be a little more than that?

Chewy in the Packer HOF? Wow.....and if WTF was ever worth it...WTF?

So the real question is this...who inducts that bastard?:

1) Brett Favre who he talked shit on in the past few years and tried to fuck over...

or

2) The babysitter he fu....never mind....

I'm closer with CC on this one.

Brett Farve is largely responsible for Chewy's numbers.

When Chewy was a free agent (or thinking of becoming one) was there really that much interest by other teams? There's no way he puts together the numbers he did in a different offense and without a HOF qb throwing to him.

A good player, sure, but a team HOFer? - I don't think so.

I am so taking you there. Every true Packer fan must visit the HOF at least once.
