Ross Verba: Ross Verba arrested

Former Lions and Packers OL Ross Verba has been arrested on suspicion of failing to pay $26,000 in gambling debts.
He was taken into custody in Phoenix this week on a Nevada arrest warrant. Verba, Green Bay's first-round pick in 1997, has a history of gambling problems and writing bad checks. We won't see him back in the league.

Verba hasn't changed since his playing days.

He came through the company I worked for. We were doing a photo shoot with him in it. He acted like a first class prick the entire time.

Definitely needs to get his priorities back in order.

Gambling debts and deadbeat alimony/child support payments too?...Sure sounds like Packer People to me.

It's been awhile since GB picked him in the first round, but he was really pretty underwhelming as a player. Perhaps that is why. Kinda sad to waste that talent when he had some really talented teams to play on early in his career and just piddles it away...
