Indeed! Now if we could just eliminate the ST/penalty retardedness, this team would be unstoppable

Yeah the penalties and the special teams. We are good for one special teams break down a game. The crazy thing is that other than those break downs the special teams actually seems to cover well.

But only one sack tonight. The offensive line has cleaned up their play so maybe we can get those areas playing better too.

I'm thinking the D gave up less than 200 yards tonight.

Is that enough to keep them in 1st place?

Positives:

Held Rice to 54 yards - huge for a player that's been on fire.
Held Mason/Clayton to 29 yards - again - big time.
Under 200 yards offense - big time *2.
Forced 3 INTs and a fumble.

Good spread for Rodgers - and Finley's 2 TDs. PT player

185.

An extra 100 in PI calls that don't go to the total helps, tho.

Just jumped up to 3rd most penalized game ever on MNF.

Yep, just said 305 penalty yards.
And 4 games to go.

To win like they did, playing great at times, really bad at others, getting wracked by penalties and still winning by double digits is something to build on for the December push.

The air it out interception must have been a breakdown. The driver fumble he never secured the ball. The other Driver interception was just a fluky play, bad throw by Rodgers. The kicking team breakdown is really concerning. Some really bad angles taken on the returner. The penalties should have hurt them more, but the survived and won. Gotta think they'll clean that sh*t up.

On the positive side, the D dominated for the most part. Rodgers had a good game and continues to impress.

Yes, it is! I looked it up on CBS Sportsline. Oddly, they didn't give the yardage, but rather the average yards per game--but since everyone has played the same number of games now (bye weeks are done), that works. The Packers are the only NFC team to currently average fewer than 300 yards per game:

1. GREEN BAY 273.5
2. N.Y. Jets 276.4
3. Denver 288.9
4. Cincy 293.2
5. Pitt. 297.3
The Giants come in next at a hair over 300 YPG. The Browns come in last at a hair over...400 YPG
