David Martin learned the art of doing just enough to not get released from his mentor Tyrone Davis and managed to get away with it for 9 years is now without an NFL team.
It took the Packers 6 years to figure him out and the Dolphins 3.
He proves that pays off not to do hard work.
Years ago he inspired a Bud Light commercial where the coach comes in and yells at the guys nursing injuries in tubs of ice. After the coach leaves the "injured" players reveal they are hiding bottles of Bud Light in the ice and whirlpool. They sit and drink while others are out working hard for their money.
Congratulations on stretching out such a career and staying in the NFL money so long.
