Just wanteed to get this started a couple of days early, as I have to work all weekend and don't want to jinx anything by possibly not making it in time.
However, I truly believe this team is coming together and can confidently beat the lesser teams in the NFL. Thats not a swipe at the Bears but they do have their own problems and really shouldn't give this emerging Packer team too much of a scare. It is a divisional game at their house tho... Nothing would surprise me....I hope we do not take a step backwards.

Really excited about going too. Great seats....row 3 in the endzone! I've never been to an away Packer game.

Was at a game at Soldier Field many years ago but the Packers weren't playing. Only went because it was free and we had Club House seating. lol

We had a 3x4=12 sign (and we had three people in Favre Jerseys and one in a Rodgers jersey). But I would guess as an FF, you wouldn't go for that one!

Soldier Field can get nasty. Saw the 40-28 Packer victory in 1989 and almost got the shit beaten out. I kept saying during the game: "I think they should look at the instant replay to see if he was inbounds, etc." or "I don't think you could change the outcome of this game with 20 instant replays all in Chicago's favor.

LOL LOL Love Chicago!"

Packers' B.J. Raji: Bears' Olin Kreutz not strong enough to contain him

Olin Kreutz's six Pro Bowl appearances apparently haven't impressed Packers rookie DL B.J. Raji.

The ninth overall pick told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he expects to handle the veteran Bears center when the teams match up on Sunday.

"It's nothing physical, it's all technical," Raji told the paper. "I'm stronger than the guy. I mean, that's not really talking (smack); he's just fast. That's not his game, really, strength. He's more trying to out-leverage you, get around you. Once I get the feel of that then the game will come a lot easier.

Raji is 6-2, 337 pounds. Kreutz is 6-2, 292 pounds. Raji has not played nose tackle much this season, but may need to fill in for the injured Ryan Pickett opposite Kreutz this weekend.

"It's not going to take me a whole (game) to get used to him moving," he told the paper. "Football's football. He's not going to change the way he plays because there's a new nose on him. He's going to play the way he's been playing. So what I watch on film, it's probably going to help me out the most, really."

The Packers have the top-ranked defense and fourth-ranked rushing defense. -- Sean LeahyPackers' B.J. Raji: Bears' Olin Kreutz not strong enough to contain him

Way back when, before the last time they were any good, 2001 with Eric Kramer, they were winning with lucky ass plays the year they tore down Soldier Field to build the bedpan.

Anyways that year they had a regular season game against the Cleveland Browns, the following Monday morning I had an appointment with an oral surgeon, I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting to go in. A guy comes in on crutch's and a face just tore to shit, he was at the Bears vs Browns game the day before (had to look it up - http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200111040chi.htm Bears win in OT on Mike Brown interception return.

The guy tells the story that they were walking back to their car after the game one of the guys in their group were wearing Brown's gear; they passed a group of Bears fans tailgating, after they walked buy the Bears fans about 10-20 yards they chuck a beer bottle at them. When they went back to call them out and say WTF, they proceeded to get the shit kicked out of them.

I live down here and there's stories in the Trib and Suntime's on how you can't bring kids to a game without exposing them to some douche baggery.

This whole week has been a joke...

I turn on AM radio, they're picking the Bears in an upset; I turn on ESPN, same thing.

Everywhere I read online, it''s a rivalry, it's in Chicago, "not so fast" blah blah.

It's not. gonna. happen.

Put it on the board.

The Packers' defense will just not allow it.

24-10.

Good guys.

Enough with the nonsense.

Not gonna happen.

I just hope the Packers don't come into the game assuming they've already won it. They need to come in like THIS is the only game that matters and the season is shot if they don't win. They need to put them away early and not let off the accelerator in the second half.

We don't need to run Raji into the ground, and god forbid if anyone else gets hurt we could use another big body.

I wonder if that's a gameplan-related decision or if Johnson has reversed his development this season. I thought he was really coming on.

I thought 'Dozer (QJ) had a good game the last time he was active and am also surprised he's been out lately. I know he was missing too many blocks early on but I thought he had improved in that dept. Likely his pancake:whiff ratio is still not to the coaches liking. The batter's still a little lumpy.

Keys:
- Match Bears intensity - they seem to get more geared up for this game than the Pack
- Oline has to play solid again (<3 sacks), extra protection and schemes (screens, rollouts, drop off) to attack blitz holes
- Rattle Cuntler (3+ sacks, 2+ INTs)
- Limit turnovers and penalties (2 or less; 8 or less)
- Provide over the top protection for TWill
- Keep Forte to under 20 carries and 65 yards; Get Grant 20+, 100 yards and a TD
- ST will be important - Mason needs to hit his FGs and the kickoff/punt coverage needs to take their collective head out of their ass

Intensity will determine the outcome. If Pack comes out, settles down the Bears and gets a quick start, it could be a big win. If we are flat or aren't matching intensity, it'll be a long day.

Rodgers caught the Bears offsides and went deep to GJ in the endzone. He caught it over his left shoulder with his hands and took about 3 steps - then the defender slapped over his right should and knocked the ball out as his knee was buckling (bc he saw a security guard facing the stands and was about to nail him).

Total catch.

Under McCarthy, the offensive game plan against the Bears is always "play not to lose". Like last year at Chicago, the Packers totally dominate the first half ,,, give it up in the second half.

When you "play not to lose" football, you usually lose. Only takes one big play or bad call by the ref and there you have it.

So the team has been lethargic the entire first half because of a timeout call that should have happened with 46 seconds left?

Funny, I didn't see McCarthy fumble or make a bad throw, fail to make a catch into the end zone. His red zone play calls seemed to be geared to touchdowns, not FGs. So I think this criticism is weak.

Why do these Fuckin mistakes ALWAYS happen against Chicago? its a frickin curse

Not time to panic yet...

It's time to panic ...

Yes, now you may panic.

Grant had his one good run we occasionally see when the hole is a mack truck

Other than that ou r offense has not cut it today

We need the swagger back on O

We completely dominated the 1st 25 minutes. The ref somehow doesn't call GJ 3 feet in bounds as going to the ground?

Rodgers charged with 2 fumbles on that play. Gets credit for recovering 1.

Should be two pass attempts...one completion and one INT. No fumbles on that play.

Ruled as 2 fumbles per the NFL!

That's messed up. I don't think they got that right.

Slipped out both times.

But his arm was going forward both times.

completely disagree; especially on the 2nd one

picking on chuck. wow. he'll make them pay for that.

I love Woodson, but what on that drive makes you think that?

two completions in a row...one for a td.

No, I mean: Why do you think he will make them pay?

Rodgers is missing some passes today as well; one easy one to Driver earlier and that wasn't even close.
