That's right - we are going to win. I say:

Packers 31
Cardinals 20

What say you?

GB pulls it out at the very end, 24-21

I am trying my best to be optimistic--the Packers really should win this game easily--but something keeps getting in the way. I think it might be the not so distant memories of how they followed up their preseason maurading with a bunch of losses and mistake filled games. I really don't think they're going to repeat that, but superstition forces me to mention anyway.

There, now the Packers can blow them out. 8-)

I'll say this: if we come out and actually win this how we (all) think we should (convincingly) then I'll believe MM can keep his team focused, and we'll end up playing in the Super Bowl.

Can't call a SB victory but running through the NFC would be huge and I think we can do it unless we just come out stupid flat one of these weeks.

37 - 20

We have to hit Warner a few times early. Else, he may have a big day and it would be close (we would still win). CM3 Has 6 sacks on the day, causing all the voters to change their minds, hold a special re-vote, and CM3 becomes DROY.

If Boldin doesn't play, we have a sizable advantage.

Arizona won't be able to get enough pressure on Rodgers...and we should be able to get some pressure on Warner.

Cards score late to make it look closer than it is.

Packers 27, Cards 20

These quotes here:

http://www.sports-central.org/sports/2010/01/05/nfl_week_17_power_rankings.php

have basically convinced me that the Pack can/should/will win this game.

Since the 2002 realignment, six playoff teams have lost their regular season finale by at least 20 points. Only one of those six (the 2004 Philadelphia Eagles) won a playoff game.

Since realignment, teams that win their final regular season game by at least 14 are 17-7 in their playoff openers.

Brewers 31, Diamondbacks 20

Lots of optimism here. I'll go with Superfan's score, even though he only finished SECOND in the survival pool. Pfft!

2TD's by Finley, Mathews and CW get sacks...and Jolly with a batted ball that pops into the air, caught by Jenkins who runs it back for 6!

In other games, I think Philli-Dallas should be a great game. Philli was hot, but Dallas threw a bucket of cold water on that. What happens this week-end?

Cards 34, Pack 28. Warner - on. Line - gets it blocked up. Cards exploit Hawk Bigby and Bush in the passing game; run off the Left side of the Packer defense - avoid Woodson like H1N1. Wilson makes big plays for the Cards in the secondary - Packers experience obvious playoff jitters across their young roster.

Pack-21

Cards-17

The only thing that bothers me about the Cards is which team of their mult personalities shows up to play. If the team I have seen a few times this year shows up,it will not be the walk in the park last weekend was.

The Packers 'D' has to keep pressure on Curt Warner the whole game. That will best neutralize the superb talents of L. Fitzerald and A. Bolden. Still Warner pass's for two TD's. They run one in for another and get a FG.
(24 pt's)

I see Aaron Rodgers passing for two TD's and he or Grant running for another. Our 'D' scores a major as well for 28 points and we get two FG's. So that makes it 34 points for Green Bay.

Predicted Final Score: Packers 34 - Cardinals 24.

GO PACK GO!

If the Packers can't get pressure on Warner, this is a very plausible scenario.

The poll says 32-4. Some might call us homers, but I'd point out that the Packers did better at ESPN.
