He's quite possibly the worst punter starting for any NFL team, but he's not absolutely awful. I don't know where we're going to find a better punter, but it's a lot more likely that we find an improvement elsewhere than he magically becomes average.

I was surprised Thompson didn't take a look at AJ Trapasso after the Titans cut him coming out of the preseason.

Isn't McKenzie available?

At least he hasn't really shanked anything to cost us a game and if I can recall correctly, hasn't had any blocked (has he?).

He did get one blocked against Tampa but I have a hard time blaming him when they guy who blocked it lined up just off center and took a straight shot, untouched, to the punter. That was a horrible game.

I thought it was John Kuhn, but I could be wrong.

Looks like Kapinos will be invited back next year but he's gonna have competition. He won't get the chance to "work through" anything any more.

We should have kept Ingle Martin.

Helluva long time ago. September 29th, 2003 @ Chicago.

No, but neither can Kapinos. :rs:

Simple solution, don't get in position to need a punter. Just score every time. It will save a lot of problems if they do that.

Jets seem to be fine with Feely kicking and punting...

I'd almost say that Feely is the Jets MVP for this game.

Tony Oday, hatin' on the kicker. Won't miss the Mason missing.
