1) Cut Bush
2) Find/draft a punter
3) Find replacement for Bigby
4) Find a pass rusher besides Matthews, this means find replacement for Brad Jones
5) Make sure Bush is cut
6) Find replacement for Clifton. You can not rely on him no more
7) Sign Matthews and Finley to ten year contracts
8) Replace Colledge
9) Find better cornerback depth
10) Check roster to make sure Bush has been cut

the offseason will be considered a success if we can screw the bears one more time.

This is a good, young team. Playoff games are mostly a tossup. We don't need a major overhaul. Get some OTs and CBs and this team is on its way. Reminds me of the 1995 team.

I'm with Harvey, though I would like to know if there's any defense that could stop Warner the way he played today. If so, I'd like Capers to give some serious thought - and conference with MM and Thompson - on what kind of players he needs to make that defense work better next year against the Warners, Rothlisbergers, and Favres of the NFL. But maybe that can't be done. It's such an offensive-star driven league now. Pushoff Fitzgerald made on Woodson, case in point.

I'm begging for a new LG. How about an LT in free agency that can help Lang learn? Maybe a RT to develop in the 1st round?

I've pretty much had it with Colledge. I'd put Lang at LG, bring back Tausch and Clifton for one more run and draft their replacements.

agree and the loophole comments by him in the JS article just reinforces that.

Your wish for LG will come true, I highly doubt we are going to resign Colledge. I could see Spitz coming back at LG if his back heals.

As far as Lang his future is at RT, not LT. Also why sign a LT in FA to help Lang learn? Can't Clifton and Tausher do that? Of better yet the O-line coaching?

I think Lang should be the LG of the future. His combo of size and athleticism could make him elite there. If you're looking for a RT, I don't think you need to use a 1st round pick. If you're going to go OT in Round 1, that guy should be your LT of the future.

I'm looking for a RT that can start the second half of the year. I think Lang has a shot at LT. I'm tired of the LG experiments. I want someone with some experience to "help" Lang settle in at LT. Sorry I shouldn't have brought that up in this thread. <GASP> I want a free agent LG.

Not sure how many quality free agents there will be. A lot of guys who would have been UFA's will be RFA's if there is no CBA.
