Take Mathews out of the picture and we have zero passrush. 21 is a stud but is getting old. Jenkins was very disappointing tonight imo, thought he was more of a difference maker. IMO, we have a lot of guys on D who look good when we are playing average or below average teams but when the game is on the line, we really only have two difference makers on this D. It is obvious that our schedule didn't have us playing many teams that could exploit our defensive flaws, but I dodn't think it was this bad.

Another pass rusher and CB and this defense is DEADLY...

Hopefully Harris can come back and play nickel (Say the least) and Brad Jones/Draft pick can be a force next year at the OLB position.

they clearly aren't as good as we thought. there is still work to be done.

They sucked, to be sure. At the same time, let's remember that this is an offensively-driven league now and it's called that way - Fitzgerald's push off on Woodson was huge. Also, Warner was flawless, absolutely flawless.

But the defense needs to be looked at - what talent is needed so this doesn't happen again?

It is and that is why a team needs more than one passrusher.

Its the best if the opposing team doesnt have good QB player which pretty much every playoff team has.

Our nickel and dime D is awful.Injuries did do a number in this area.
