View Full Version : Jets versus Chargers

Chargers have too many weapons IMO; Revis can only alternating shutting down one person.

That guy is a player; see him lay a nasty lick on LT

The house of PR had it right when most voted Woodsen deserved the MVP but Revis was the better CB

False start at home. They should run stairs until they puke.

Gates might end up with about 50 catches today.

I've always like Phillip Rivers, but wow does it look painful when he throws the ball.

Dumb penalty on ST.

Chargers would be lucky to be 8-8 without Gates. Jackson is a decent #2 and Floyd is just a guy right now, but has promise. Gates is the guy who creates the mis-match.

I think you might be underestimating Jackson. He just got ranked in the top 5 toughest to cover.
The larger point about the team might be true. Their defense slipped this year as the offense flourished.

I think if you take Jackson away from Gates, he isn't half the receiver he is now.

Wow, an actual option off a shortgun snap. Nice idea. Too bad al 11 Chargers were on the LOS.

This is like a Packers game. Dominating, penalties and keeping the lesser team in the game early.

I too think Jackson is on the cusp of the top tier and maybe in the middle of the second tier of the top WR's. He's not near the Andre Johnsons of the world IMO but he's right with the Ocho's and probably better. They are a different type of WR but in terms of ratings I think he might be in the same range as a Jennings.....albeit a bit lower, than Jennings. Agree on Gates....monster....and Floyd...just a guy

I have never seen it, although the NFL just put the College defer rule in a couple years back. I should say I don't know of Ryan deferred or choose to kick. But in either case, have not seen it.

But just for the record, the Jets lost 25 yards of field position on the exchange.

What a great story

Walk on at UW Madison....nobody thought this guy could earn a scholarship and he wanted to be a Badger

instant ballhawk despite his five foot nine inch frame
dude can jump and he has some speed

I was worried he'd be done in the NFL after a couple years

Then Rex Ryan leaves the Ravens and they sign JL to a nice contract.

Good for him

WTF is the deal with modern football???

It used to be you could tackle the QB, knock the ball out of his hand for a fumble and force a receiver to fumble with a big hit.

You're right. If a good punter is required, the Pack can't do it.

I could not tell you what a catch is anymore. After one knee equals two feet, everything else has changed.

Used to be two feet, then two feet and a football move, now, I think, neither are involved definitively. Who knows?

Siege of Itzehoe:
Danes and Obotrites under Earl Glum besiege the Frankish stronghold at Itzehoe, but determined Frankish resistance wins out, and the siege is lifted.

Itzehoe is now a German town north of Hamburg but was ROBBED from us during the 1864 Danish/German war.

Not just tweaking a FA post, but I have heard that Faneca has declined this season and that Mangold, Ferguson and Moore are the best players.

Several sites were happy he was not All-Pro/Pro Bowl (don't remember which). But that obviously doesn't mean he is toast.

I'm no Peyton Manning or Colts fan ,but they are great. Plus I can't stand Rex Ryan or the Jets. (Live in NJ)

You the man ! With that sig anyway :D

Jets Win

Gotta like Rex Ryan's mojo

His mojo? Yeah. His comments towards Woodson? Hell no.

I can understand Ryan sticking up for his player, but don't bash The Wood!

Finally! I came on here surprised to see so many Packer fans rooting for that arrogant fatass and his team.

I don't really give a crap about the Jets people-wise. I just REALLY love their style of play. It's old-school. Defense...Blitz...Run the damn pill.

I agree with you there Maxi. I love defense, even though the NFL is all offense now. I would rather watch a good defensive game then a scoring clinic like the AZ-GB any day of the week. Too bad the NFL ruined it and made everything so pro-offense

A couple years ago the NY Giants went to the Super Bowl as a Wild Card and they got there almost solely on defense. That's the year they beat Favre and the Pack in GB. I'm thinking the Jets are looking a lot like the Giants of that year. Both are able to get pressure on the QB. Colts have the best chance of anybody of knocking the Jets off because Manning is real hard to rattle.

caught a couple of plays of what's-his-name and minn's win...not that unexpected but the jets over the chargers (didn't watch that either) was totally unexpected. WOW!!

SAINTS AND COLTS PLEASE??

I THINK MY HEAD WILL EXPLODED IF IT'S NOT THE SAINTS.

I'm not impressed with Mangini either, but he did have that team playing well at the end of the year despite no passing attack.
