I'm pulling for the Saints for the underdog thing. If I still bet on football I would take Manning in a shoot out. Should be a fun game either way.

Man, these pregame marathons are ridiculous. How many different ways can they rehash and dissect this game? By 6:30 I'll be sick of seeing Manning and Brees' faces! Did you see the goofball with all the Colt autographic tatoos on BSPN? :P

This game is the Colts to lose. I only care that my squares hit.

Last straight news on him was that the team expected him to be active and available for passing situations.

PFT has a report from CBS that Freeny is walking around today with no limp.

It's hard for me picking this game. I have always been a Peyton Manning fan, but have been cheering for the Saints. I've loved Drew Brees since college, always thought he was just a winner, and thought the Chargers in part made a mistake, but understood. Just thought they wasted a pick on Rivers even though I like Rivers, and he has turned out real well also.

I'm just hoping this will be a great game.
I'm going with...

Colts 35

If 21 knew how to run in mud or on a wet track, he would have had the TD. He tried to plant the outside foot.

yup. you cannot do that in the SB. no way. Bush ought to be on the bench the rest of the game. No idea why Pierre didn't have the ball. No idea at all.
Was that Bush? I thought I saw 21 who would be Mike Bell.

I thought it was Pierre. It 100% WAS NOT Reggie Bush. He wasn't on the field.

Dallas Clark is the best TE in the league.

The Saints aren't exactly among the better teams at covering the TE either...

From Football Outsiders:

Given the importance of Dallas Clark in the Colts offense, the Saints' defense against tight ends shows some interesting trends. Overall, the Saints finished fifth in DVOA against tight ends, thanks in large part to the play of middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma. However, if we break this down game-by-game, we find that the Saints struggled against the best tight ends on their schedule. Even after we do opponent adjustments, we see the Saints shutting down bad tight ends but giving up yardage to good ones. Brent Celek was the only tight end to have a 100-yard game against the Saints, but Tony Gonzalez had two good games against them, and Visanthe Shiancoe had four catches for 83 yards two weeks ago. (In fairness, not all good tight ends played well against the Saints; they kept Jason Witten to mostly inconsequential short completions, and Kellen Winslow played well against them in Week 16 but poorly in Week 11.)

AFC dominance is over baby. Packers in 2010.

Hopefully TTT can learn a few things for Mickey Loomis, who should have been the NFL Executive of the year last year.
Name the signings!

oops

I'll start with a few

KEY PLAYERS
Greer
Sharper
Vilma, I think

And I know they filled some depth with others
One thing that could be troubling for the Saints is that this may be it for a while. Apparently half of their roster are FAs after this season. I saw this on another website, but am still looking for the source of the statement.

it was pro football talk.

i think its 26 or 28 free agents. 11 are unrestricted and the rest are restricted if there is no cba

heres the link, its 29 free agents

Those who liked Sean Payton can gloat a little bit

He's looked like a genius much of the season

he proved he has a jumbo set of balls too

something i wouldn't mind m3 having sometimes

Who do you think started the onside kick trend this post season?

I was just about to post something about that. MM did it first. Sean is just a copycat.

Heck in that game we should have tried those after every score
