Here are some serious good deals for the teams these guys are on. NO SUPRISE to see Josh Sitton on this list.

The NFL dispersed money via its performance-based pay system today and the NFLPA recommended that agents encourage their clients to hold on to the money.

The system divides a total of $109,532,000 among the 32 teams with $3,422,875 being divided by each team. The league uses a formula based on playing time percentage and a player’s salary cap. So the rookie who plays the most to the veteran who plays the least all get a check.

HERE IS THE BARGAIN LIST

Here are the top 12 PBP numbers from the entire league:

John Sullivan, C, Minnesota $397,555
Zack Bowman, CB, Chicago $355,355
Gary Guyton, LB, New England $349,437
William Gay, CB, Pittsburgh $325,607
Josh Morgan, WR, San Francisco $325,421
Carl Nicks, G, New Orleans $317,313
Donald Thomas G, Miami $316,577
Macho Harris, S, Philadelphia $314,565
Orlando Scandrick, CB, Dallas $306,209
David Hwathorne, LB, Seattle $306,091
Dashon Goldson, S, San Francisco $303,763
Josh Sitton, G, Green Bay $300,622

Funny how things work out for some people. Wasn't Sitton the one Thompson discovered by accident, while scouting someone else during their pro day? By the end of his rookie season he's already the most consistent player on our line, and now he's getting a 300k bonus.

I wish I could catch a break like that once in awhile...

That almost doubles Sitton's pay. And it doesn't come from the Packers.

I believe it was 2006 when Brett Favre was making millions they gave him 25,000 because players his age don't normally play that many snaps.

Some of these players are back ups that played a lot due to the injuries of others.

When 7th round pick Will Whittacker started the whole season as a rookie he received a huge amount nearly doubling his salary.

It is a nice way to reward players with a lot of playing time getting bench money. Look for this to be expanded in the new CBA.

A year ago, I carried around a signature and vowed not to remove it until TT signed an outside free agent from a NFL team. Now it's a year later and I'm one year smarter.

Never again will I do that.

You gotta stop making predictions in game threads, too..... 8-)

Sitton just finished his 2nd year. He started 2 games as a rook in 2008.
