He is available. the Bills are supposed to be releasing him. Speculation at PFT is Schobel going to the Texans. He is from Texas and knows one of their coaches, Bill Kollar.

Well, I heard that the reason the Bills released him is that the Bills are switching to the 3-4 and Schobel is uninterested in learning a new position to the point of being willing to retire. So he's not coming here.

Well, that blows my theory. I thought it was the other way around But on second thought, that makes no sense. A 3-4 DE would probably welcome the relief a 4 man line might bring.

A lot like Kampmann. A 4-3 guy not a 3-4 guy.

He has always been a good player but not a LB. Not big enough for 3-4 DE.

Square peg in a round hole. Packers groupings are just fine. Another year with the scheme and coaches putting the best players in position to make plays should result in a top 5 defense.
