Florio nailed it in one sentence. Its the answer to every fan who ever bemoaned an athlete asking for more money after they are already well paid.

While I disagree with his next point, that Favre runs the show (Zygi is making money off this deal unless he is a complete fool), it does demonstrate that Favre has leverage with this franchise and that they need him more than he needs them. And that is a problematic position for any employer to be in.

This is ideal for Favre. He needs so badly to be needed. Heck, he probably would've played for the Pack in '08 if Driver and a couple of other vets had gone down to Hattiesburg to beg.
