View Full Version : Frankenbacker: A Branding Strategy

We need to get this nickname into the mainstream. It should be the forum's goal to get this into the media, with an ultimate goal of hearing it on a National TV broadcast.

My suggestion, for those who have tickets, is to make signs celebrating Frankenbacker in all his glory; perhaps skipping over the DUI on a motorcycle.

Please post your ideas and accomplishments in this thread. Since I am pretty sure someone invented this in this forum last pre-season, I think its beyond question who coined the phrase. So feel free to plant this in as many football forums as possible. Your fantasy football team name should also be Frankenbacker related. Although I understand if you name it Favre Croc Butter this year.

If we have any attorneys present, we should probably trademark the thing.

I've been calling him Frankenbacker since I first saw it on Packerrats. Perfect nickname for #41.

OK, this is not related, but it fits. My house is about 10 miles from Frankenstein Castle. Not kidding.

I've visited there and met with the historian. What he told me is mind blowing.

This also isn't related as I'm not a Fantasy Football League enthusiast and therefore clueless as to what this thread is really all about. :D

Tarlam.

My Lady and I are planning a trip to Germany either next year or the following one. Of all the sites in Germany what are your top three suggestions to make a must visit to? Your next choice for a top four?

Geez, Woody, what are your interests?

Hamburg, Colongne(Köln), Munich(München), Berlin in that order if you just want cities.

If you want something else, you need to tell me.

With the ever expanding global reach of Packerrats, it should be possible to infiltrate the mainstream media with this nickname in say 10 to 20 years, easy.

Nope. I liked it, but someone else coined it.

If my subsequent comment is to be believed, Bob Dobbs should get the credit.

Well, Brent does, obviously. Or maybe Deanna Jr. depending on your point of view.

I think "Frankenbacker" could become a noun used to mean a guy who plays multiple positions - offense, defense, and special teams.

It also sounds to me like one of the linebacking nicknames for one of the positions. "Yes, Wayne, I see that the Pack has Havner lined up at Frankenbacker."

So, Rickenbacker makes a guitar called the Frankenbacker. I'm sure among Havner's many talents, he plays the guitar. The possibilities are endless. Maybe a video of him playing the guitar while doing circles on his motorcycle.

I think that might be amature guitar builders making a Rickenbacker-styled monster guitar. I think your trademark is safe, pb.

And how to re-cycle a now-defunct jersey from your closet into a brandy new Spencer Havner jersey.

I think he can long snap, play TE, Back up a FB spot, LB, Punter, ST, ST Coach (really he cant be that much worse) and Mascot. If he could play SS well we would be set!

Hi Tarlam!:

Joy and I are just in the preliminary stages of planning a trip to Germany. She has family living there that visited her a couple of years ago, so we'll 'of course' do a return visit with them. I have a friend fr. the Black Forest region that's a neighbor where my family's country home is located, in Juvenile Settlement, NB. Joy will meet him over the next few days on our trip back to New Brunswick, Canada. Something may spring up from that Re: interesting places to see.

This may assist you in terms of what we may like. You may PM me RE: any help Tarlam! That would be much appreciated.

Joy and I have much in common. We like great scenery, architecture, ,good food, the arts and history and friendly people like ourselves. She and I are pretty laid back types that can stop and smell the roses. Neither of us intense. So less is better than alot. :D

1) has anyone actually modified their f-word jersey?
2) is it wrong that i am seriously contemplating it doing it to both my green one and black one this weekend over beers? (I'll be like Havner and stitch myself up post scissors injury :D

This Frankenbacker can regrow limbs.

And in this case, he was waived as injured with an injury settlement. Essentially, they needed the roster spot but he would be healthy before the end of the season but the Lions did not see him on their roster next year.
