I know the final roster isn't set but I am ready to make my prediction.

We will go 12-4.

PHI - W
BUF - W
CHI - W
DET - W
WASH - W (50% chance)
MIA - W
MN - W
NYJ - L
DAL -W
MN - L
ATL -W (50% chance)
SF - W
DET - W
NE - L
NYG - W
CHI - W

We will split the WASH/ATL not sure which 1 we will win and which we will loose.

11-5 running that gauntlet wouldn't look too shabby. Emerging 12-4 should make you a certifiable contender.

10-6. No better unless they play a lot of teams when opponents' injuries are very significant.

I was going to say 9-7, but I'm in a good mood today!

This years 11-5 means more than last years 11-5. I think the teams we play this year are a lot harder. So while the record doesn't improve, I think we will be a better team.

13-3 with a loss at Min and two losses to the NY teams.

Even though I think we can win those games -- and in Minnesota -- I had to pick 3 losses and that's what seems likely. We'll probably lose one we should have won and maybe win one of those three other games.

I have a hard time seeing 10-6 range unless our secondary somehow looks like our OL did to start out last season. Missing the talent will be to blame at that point but I think with Collins and Woodson, you should be able to come up with something (Capers) that can at least keep teams under 35 points.

12-4. The losses: at NYJ, at Minn, at Atl (minor grumbling sets in after back-to-back road defeats), at NE (more grumbling after three losses in five games). Then beat SF and Dallas in the divisional and conference championship games.

I agree on everything except Dallas in the NFCC game. (I don't know who they will face, but I think the Cowboys are in for a partial collapse this year).

The total wildcard is the defensive pass rush. If that's better than last year, the Packers will be a frightening team to play.

13-3. But looking at the games, the Packers should have a good shot to win every single one. Should be a fun season. Disappointment if the Packers don't make it to the NFC Championship game, but if they make it that far, they might as well go ahead and win the Super Bowl.

12-4

We have a nice start to the season with teams that don't pass very well. Shields will have 6 more weeks to get comfortable before teams who can really expose him are on the schedule. By the time we play the good passing teams, we could have Al Harris back and Shields will be far better in week 7 than he is in week 1. It's a bit of a lucky break.

Injuries will hit us at some point. Chances are, we'll hit some adversity and lose a couple games.

If the health of the team is strong going into the playoffs and through the playoffs, we're as likely a team as anyone else to win the SB.

This is an exciting year for Packer football!!

On "Mike and Mike in the Morning" today, Adam Schefter made his Super Bowl predictions. He had the Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Green Bay Packers. He said Pitts defense can withstand Big Ben being suspended 4 games and Aaron Rodgers is good enough to pick up the d's slack.

My prediction, Packers will be 12-4 and reach the Super Bowl.

9-7. I know I am not a Packer nut hugger and my opinion probably doesn';t mean much, but I don't see them finishing any worse than 9-7. They could finish 11-5 if they beat Dallas at home which is possible with the home field advantage and the overhype machine that is known as the Dallas Cowboys. If the Packers played the Vikings at home before week 6, before the Vikings got Sid Rice back I would tip the scales towards the Packers, but since they will have Rice back the edge, and I think it is a small edge goes to the Vikings. Sure the Packers get Harris back but Rice is all of 26 years old while Harris is 35.

The other games that are hard to predict is the opener, and the fact that if things go the way I predicted the Packers are going to lose 5 games in a row, I don't think that is possible, but those are all very losable games for the Packers. I think if things go right and the Packers beat the injury bug this season those 5 losses in the middle of the season could easily be 4-1, as tough as that stretch is, the Packers have the talent to win all 5 games as well.
I guess I am saying that I will not be suprised if the Pack beat the Vikings and Dallas at home. At this point those are the two toss up games barring injuries throughout the season.

Yes. every year you lose a game you had no business losing. I remember the year we won the Super Bowl in 97 and we lost to the previously winless Colts and last season losing to Tampa. :? We'll probably end up 11-5 again.

I'd favor the Ravens in the division, but I have a feeling the Steelers finish ahead of the Bengals and take a Wild Card spot. Two reasons:

1) I think the Bengals could implode and it seems half the teams that make the playoffs one year. I think the Bengals are a prime candidate for that. They snuck up on people last year by being a run first team.
2) The Leftwich injury was a good thing for the Steelers. I like the Dixon kid. I think he'll get them at least a 2-2 record in the 4 games that Big Ben is out.

Overall predictions might be different, but our loss to the Bears (penalties) was not due to injuries and neither was our loss to the Redskins (tons of drops, and missed field goal). So, even with the injuries Pack could easily be 7-1 right now.

I am sticking with my prediction though. I don't know why I didn't do a game by game prediction but 13-3 still seems very reasonable. Just gotta go on a 10 game winning streak to end the season. 2 down, 8 to go.
