Does Spiderman wear a cup? I mean the guy takes a lot of shots to the crotch - it's not like his member has spider powers. Plus, doesn't MJ get a little weirded out -Peter Parker always wears his uniform under his street clothes - "Peter, why are you always wearing a cup and red and blue underwear?"

You know, I don't. But I'm just assuming that regardless, it can't withstand a crotch shot from say, one of Dr. Octopus' molybdenum tentacles. That's only common sense.

Reminds me of a radio commercial I heard yesterday for a candidate in Wisconsin. It went something like this.

(Announcer, in a rather melodramatic tone);
"Questions people in Wisconsin want answered:
"Can MAN delay the end of the world?
"WHEN will Brett Favre retire?
"What in the world does the lieutenant governor in Wisconsin REALLY DO?"

It then went on to describe what the LG candidate proposed to do with the office, if elected. I thought it was clever.

If you drop a ton of Aaron Rodgers and ton of Brett Favres at the same time, which one would hit the ground first?

Why do we maintain a yard? WTF? I mean, mow, trim, water, seed, fertilizer, etc. etc. For what? For Hecuba? Good, God, I am going to xeriscape because I just can't take it anymore. Why do we do it?

If you drop a ton of Aaron Rodgers and ton of Brett Favres at the same time, which one would hit the ground first?

Assuming you drop them from the same height. In that case, the answer is the ton of Rodgers, because the ton of Favres would need to think it over before falling.

Question: if the ton of Favres falls does that confirm the law of gravity or does it just prove that entropy really controls movement in the universe?

I ran out of mustard and now have to buy a new bottle. It's just plain old yellow mustard, nothing fancy. So what the hell am I supposed to do? There are like 10 brands that all look alike, and some crappy store brand produced at the same factory as one of the name brands, except that the bottle looks like it has herpes. Which brand should I choose?

French's
Plochman's
Heinz (should I let politics get in the way of a good yellow mustard)
other?

This is the dark side of Adam Smith's invisible dead hand - so many choices and no way to tell the difference.

Dammit Roark, I already have the other kind. I explained this. I need some standard frickin' yellow mustard. You think kids want that brown crap on their hot dog? :D

But of course, would you care for any Grey Poupon? Like hell I would.

All this talk about mustard?

I thought people would want answers to more serious questions like "What's the meaning and purpose of life?"

Well - The Captain has the answer, but you may not be ready for it.

It's quite simple really, and only 2 words: Breed & Conquer

You may now continue with your mustardfestapalooza

The shave your head solution:

I'm glad you stated this, Zig; I had the same thoughts, but thought it was my sexist mind again. Anybody that tarts herself up like that, walks into a room full of naked, grown men etc etc.

MJZiggy

Nah, Tar, not sexist in my mind. If she's gonna objectify herself she really shouldn't be whining when people treat her like an object. If she walked into the room wearing dress slacks or a suit and was treated like an object, that's a different story but she's not dressed like someone who wants respect.

Good ol' Clinton Portis gave his opinion on such matters, without knowing all the details of the situation with the Jets. The NFL was not amused:

“You put a woman and you give her a choice of 53 athletes, somebody got to be appealing to her,” Portis said. “You know, somebody got to spark her interest, or she's going to want somebody. I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's [bodies] … I know you're doing a job, but at the same time, the same way I'm going to cut my eye if I see somebody worth talking to, I'm sure they do the same thing.”

Plochman's. Today, tomorrow, forever. Out local store started carrying it out of the blue (instead of just French's) and it made hot dogs and hamburgers taste 20% better immediately.

Seriously, I did the research. Numbers don't lie. :)

Great! Now I don't have to purchase lean ground hamburger any longer. I'm adding up the savings.

Why do Cleveland fans think that 'orange' is a logo? Why are Pittsburgh folks so stupid that they forget to put their logo on both sides of the helmet?

don't know the answer to the browns having a orange logo, but I've heard that pitt only has one logo because back in the day they were looking to save money so they only put the logo on one side.

Can you "will" your place in line for Packer season tickets to someone upon your death.

Yes, and you can transfer your season tickets to family members. If you own a tavern and have hundreds of season tickets you can transfer them indefinitely within your family (and friends) and scalp them at high cost (tho' you may have had to take out a loan to cover the PSLs). And you can give one out to the guy who fixes your bowling machine.

This seemed like an appropriate place to put this.

I'm still wondering what happened to mraynrand. For that matter, I'm wondering why pbmax apparently went away also. and why even the Man himself, Madtown, has been absent for over a month now.

I clicked on rand's name, and it showed "activity" as recently as a couple hours earlier. I'm not sure how that profile page works, though - does that mean he was lurking around and not posting that recently? Or does it just mean somebody else clicked on the profile page a couple hours earlier.

Also, there was that cryptic post by Cleft Crusty saying both he and rand would be gone and not coming back. That sort of implied to me that maybe Crusty was just another screen name used by rand.

Anyway, it's getting curiouser and curiouser around here. If anybody can shed any light, please do.

There's got to be more to it than that. I didn't much like him either, but I don't want to say too much bad about him when he ain't here to argue. Hopefully he ain't sick or dead or dying. And the whole mystery of our most prolific posters "up and bailing" is a real head scratcher.

Favorite Whiskey and Brandy selections in your opinion please! I had a bartender in De Pere tell me that Wisconsin single handedly saved Korbel during WWII with their Brandy consumption. I believe you are correct on your assessment. I live in the PACNW at the moment and people look at me like I'm crazy if I ask for a Brandy Old Fashioned. Best Old Fashioned I ever had was at Ishnala... ***sigh***

Oh man, great question. Old Forrester is a pretty solid go-to for bourbon. Dalwhinney for scotch. And yeah, I’m in Minnesota and I have to order a brandy old fashioned here too.

Next question, do the Bears still suck?

I ran out of mustard and now have to buy a new bottle. It's just plain old yellow mustard, nothing fancy. So what the hell am I supposed to do? There are like 10 brands that all look alike, and some crappy store brand produced at the same factory as one of the name brands, except that the bottle looks like it has herpes. Which brand should I choose?

French's
Plochman's
Heinz (should I let politics get in the way of a good yellow mustard)
other?

This is the dark side of Adam Smith's invisible dead hand - so many choices and no way to tell the difference.

I'm a Freedom mustard guy myself

Whisky - Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye
Brandy - Ararat, incredible stuff. I have to admit though, most of the brandy I drink is E&J used to mull some cheap red!
