Charles Woodson...
lol j/k
The Eagles were reportedly offering the Packers a sixth-round pick for G/C Jason Spitz at last Saturday's cuts deadline.
Green Bay apparently wanted more, though the window for a trade to happen is far from shut. Aggressive Eagles GM Howie Roseman has reportedly been eying Spitz "for several weeks." He'd be a fine insurance policy, at the very least, should C Jamaal Jackson have a setback from ACL surgery.

Im pretty sure they ended up making a trade with the Cardinals for a guard using that 6th round pick.

I'd have been pissed if we let spitz go for a 6th....hell, probably a 5th would have made me unhappy.
trading spitz for a 6th is basically like giving him away
there's no reason to give up a guy that can do a decent job of backing up 3 positions

Yeah, I would have only been willing to trade Spitz for a 4th or a player of comparable value.

Keep Spitz. Unless Al Davis offers a 2nd or 3rd.

Spitz is worth a 3rd.

NFL GM's make me wonder sometimes. I value the picks, but spitz is a former 3rd rounder who developed into a very competent G and by most counts a starting caliber center.
How is he worth less now than the third we used to get him.....especially when a lot of thirds never become competent starters at all.

Spitz is worth a 3rd.
I agree. I wouldn't trade him for less personally. I think he is way to valuable as a backup to just give away. Imgaine we trade him and then Wells gets hurts or Sitton or even Colledge. I don't trust Lang at this point to be a starter and all we would have is Bulaga. We would become thin very fast. We have a chance to win the superbowl this year, lets not cause major problems for a super bowl team for some low round draft pick.

Wonder if this offer will still be valid AFTER tomorrow...
