Rumor is that the Lions released him to sign someone else. Not sure if there's an injury concern, but that could be a factor.

Hamstring....we gotta guy with one of those. We need somebody with something no one else has, so we're unique. Tennis elbow. I don't think anyone has that yet.

He was designated as waved-injured, which usually means that an injury settlement was reached. I expect that the settlement was for ~2-3 weeks, depending on the severity of the hamstring injury, so he won't be able for a while. By the time he's healthy there Crabtree and Francois may be starting.

We're good. Crabtree looks like he can play linebacker. We should only sign Havner if the NFL lets him play on his motorcycle.

I've got that, in both elbows to boot! And I can run into the backs of other defenders just as well as Poppinga. Hell, I'll even do it at half... no a third of the price! Where do I send my application?

The Green Bay Packers recently met with free-agent TE Spencer Havner (Lions), but he is still recovering from a hamstring injury and is not healthy enough to play, reports Jason Wilde, of ESPNMilwaukee.com.

I know he will be signed...I have in a safety deposit box the EXACT same pictures that Slocum has...I sent an open letter to the Packer Organization with my demands.

Based on what the JSO reported on Monday about the Packers giving Havner a look see it sounds like he could be signed now if somebody wanted him.
