Ok Defense - you got us this far. Time to call on you at least one more time. Sanchez will be getting desperate. They may give up on the run. Don't be fooled by the play action or the pumps - they've burned them twice.

Just have to say - win or lose - what a great game.

No one expected GB's Defense to be outplaying the Jets - particularly when half the team is out.

Need to get a little lucky and close it out.

+1. Stupendous game by the Packers D today.

Ok - so we run 1st play - thats ok - Jets use a TO. But I think you have to take a shot down field or at least throw on 2nd. A FG wins now or you have to get them backed way up with no TO's or just one TO.

Big kudos to the defense. How many guys on IR on that side of the ball? Yet they throw a shutout.

The offense, on the other hand...harumph....lost Finley, Driver, Grant....the offensive line healthy (knock on wood), other players healthy....but they can't do crap. MM should be crapping his pants.

He should be proud of this team, but he needs to think about what he's doing about his offense. He's being outcoached by his defensive coordinator counterpart.

AFC = OVERRATED!

Packers are winning with 1/2 to 2/3 of the team playing to the level they are capable of.

My prediction of an 11 point win was only off by two.

And yes, I am taking a bow.

Ugly, but great road win. If they could just steal a couple of these versus non-division NFC foes, they would be all set.

This raises questions. Do we even want Bigby as our stater if he comes back ? I say we continue using Peprah.

peprah has played pretty good as a starter

worst case scenario is we have a reliable backup SS

The play of Bishop and Peprah might be the biggest reason the Packers have survived the rash of injuries on defense.

... + CJ Wilson, BJ Raji, Sam Shields and even Tramon Williams to a certain extent.

These guys have all surpassed expectations. Would lead me to think this coaching staff is top notch, A+ level with development and preparation.

Very impressive win. Outstanding game by the defense. I thought there were plays to be made for the offense. Rodgers almost hooked up with Jones and Jennings for a couple of big plays. The offense will not be as high octane as they would be with Finley causing headaches for D-Coordinators this year IMO. They may get better but I doubt they'll be blowing many teams out. We'll just have to live with that I'd say.

5-3 at the halfway mark is a beautiful thing with all the adversity we've faced so far. I figure if we can at least repeat that the second half we should win the division. We can take care of the Bears when next we meet and the Lions really have no shot. In order for the Vikings to reach that record they would have to win 8 of their last 10 games.

Great game by the Packers today...got fortunate several times on favorable calls from the zebras, but we were due after being screwed over a couple times previously this year. It all does usually balance out in the end.

The Jets really had to be disappointing to their fans today. 2 weeks to prepare, and they laid a massive goose egg on the scoreboard in their own crib. The fake punt was a very strange call in that position so early in the game. The Jets dropped more passes than we did, which is saying something at this point.

That we were able to do this and give guys like Pickett another week of rest is huge. If we can hold off the Cowboys and get a few more bodies back to 100% during the bye week, this team has a reasonable shot at winning the division.

If you are referring to the 2 INT. Then your wrong the refs got it right.

They explained it during the broadcast.

It is just like a normal reception where the receiver has to maintain possession through the entire catch. In cases with simultaneous possession the same rule applies. If the ball comes out in that process, and the defender maintains possession, it is then an INT. In both cases the ball was yanked out before the process was completed. If the receiver and defender both maintain control through the catch, the tie goes to the receiver.

channtheman
11-01-2010, 10:29 AM
On Tramon's INT, he had the ball in his arm like a running back or anyone else running with the ball would hold it. Just because the receiver latches onto it does not mean he has it or that it is even a tie. That call was totally correct.

On Woodson's INT, you could see when the receiver hit the ground that the ball was still moving around on top of him. Woodson did the right thing by grabbing the ball. Great plays by the Packers.
