Masthay punted eight times and landed five inside the 20-yard line in the Packers' 9-0 win at the New York Jets on Sunday. Thanks to Masthay's hang time, the Jets didn't have any punt return yardage in the game.

He totally earned this -- even though he was going against a kicker from the Fins who hit 5 FGs.
From the first three-and-out, when Masthay pounded a sweet bomb that had the Jets starting at their 18, I had the feeling that (1) our O would struggle, and (2) our P would keep us alive.
He was a monster.

Our punter was our best player last week by a wide margin.

Well, at least nobody else was in the same neighborhood as the punter and some of the DBs.

The Fins' kicker is in the AFC, so no direct competition.
edit: The Fins' kicker did win the AFC award.
Congrats to Masthay. When was the last time a Packer punter earned a PotW award, or even merited consideration?

For a second I thought you were making reference to a bowel movement.

Apparently not judging by her reaction.

What a strange season. If somebody had given odds last week on both Moss getting cut by the Vikings and Masthay getting this award this week, I would have put those odds at about a million to one.
Yet, here we are.
Props to our punter Masthay.
