In general, terms like this drive me crazy as they are usually a substitute for thinking about the game, player or result critically.

Some have labeled Vince Young a game changer, someone, who from a physical standpoint, can impose his will on a game. But this revelation proves why someone must be as stubborn as a certain Viking's QB to really have a lasting effect.

According to reports from Jay Glazer, Vince Young skipped rehab workouts in Tennessee during a bye week to attend the opening of his restaurant in Austin. Young, or someone speaking up for him, says that he received treatment at UT while he was gone. Fair enough. He was not required to stay in Nashville according to PFT.

But in a report that also confirmed Glazer's, Mike Lombardi reported that Young did not even test his ankle out in the pregame to see if he could regain his starting job from Kerry Collins. Judging by his performance after Collins was injured, Young could have passed this test. Lombardi reported teammates saw this as par for the course given his work ethic.

It does not seem like football will ever be Young's sole preoccupation and it seems less likely than ever that he will lead the Titans farther than he already has.

maybe after dropping out of football and spending a year or so on ricky williams' island will he decide he wants to be a pro football quarterback.
