Detroit with the lead over NE. What is going on in the NFL this year?

ThunderDan

OK, NE finally takes the lead in the 4th Q.

Guiness

NE back in the lead now. The Lion's OL was giving Hill time to throw, but their RT left the game - can't help.

Saw mention of Detroit's record over the last dozen years on Turkey day - not good! I think they won either 1 or none.

The Lions are losing both the game and their composure.

Cowboys not looking so hot to this point. I thought they'd play better than this.

Airin' Rodgers
11-25-2010, 06:35 PM
Cowboys playing much better in the 2nd half. If they can punch it in from the 3, they will have the lead in the 4th quarter.

What a huge upset this would be for the Packers. Barber scores for the lead, as I'm typing. Wow.

Edit: TD was overturned, but the boys score two plays later. 26-23, Extra point pending

Even if it better for the Packers, rooting for Cowboys is enough to make me loose my T-day dinner.

Roy Williams is a walking talking close loss waiting to happen. Open field, only two defenders and one teammate to block, he manages to get hit by both and let one of them have a shot at the ball. Ridiculous.

The girls' (Geez RG, lighten up for heaven's sake!) center/long snapper had a bad game there! And pbmax, once Williams lost that ball I had a feeling they'd lose. That's too bad, for us. But deep down it is fun to watch the cows lose.

did anyone hear mat millon, on the nfl network broadcast of the cincy/jets game, say of player x of the jets, "for a right tackle, he's one of the best right tackles in the league."? theisman had a couple of gems too but i can't remember them.

Don't get me started on Matt Millen. He took a lousy franchise and drove it twelve feet under. He's one of the biggest idiots on the professional sports scene - before he got the GM gig he was a lousy analyst and announcer. Loud and blaring and useless, like a homosexual goat with no penis.

What a set of brass balls that guy's got, taking a paycheck and passing himself off as an expert. He was a fucking linebacker, for god's sake. He adds nothing to any football conversation except noise, and he is responsible for one of the worst stretches of any professional sports franchise in any sport in any country ever in the history of the planet earth.

If I read you correctly, you seem to be questioning Matt Millen's knowledge of football, but you do give him credit for having the ability to dry hump male goats.

You give him more credit than most people do.

First int. by Mike Vick. Bears still up by a hair 14-13.

21-13 now for the Bears. Cutler with 3 TD passes, and a QB rating of 482.

Don't worry. The wheels will fall off that offense. Question is, can Philly put two more TD's on the board against Chicago's defense?

Bears looking good; Philly D is taking too many chances.

Packers loss and likely bears win are the only sports things that have gone wrong this weekend for me. Man Utd won, chelsea drew (Utd moves to the top); Mavericks beat spurs and heat. opps...Bruins are losing to the thrashers in the 2nd period (dang it).

The Badgers did get a lot of help moving up a couple spots in the polls, but I would trade that for a Packers win and Bears loss today.

We've got to win our division before we think playoffs. But, we would have had to beat the Bears the last week to win our division so perhaps this will allow us to get a first round bye. Can we win out?

So true. The Eagles were all world a couple of weeks ago and now the last 2 weeks they look bad. Watch the Bears and Atlanta lose next week now.

Unbelievable TD catch in the Bears game. Doesn't really matter though because they still have to get an onside kick.

Troy Smith doesn't scare ya; he throws slowly but he's got legs to run it though. Not a super accurate QB.

Hmm, Beanie fumble then quick dart by Troy Smith - beautiful throw and nice catch by Crabtree. Arm strength not an issue - you can't give Troy time to throw it....can't do that to ANY QB for that matter.

Are the 'zona unis all black? Awful.

Without a doubt the worst Monday night game of the year. Or the past couple - I only turned on the game to listen to the crew for a few minutes and see if they're as bad as we were all complaining about in the other thread.

lol - announcer just pointed out that SF has two #1overall QB's on the sidelines (Smith and Carr) and there's a 5th round reject running around out there.

Has anyone here been following Derek Anderson's career? I thought I remember a poster here who knew him from college.

Watching him on that last series, he looked pretty good. He's got a slow, deliberate delivery, but gets the ball out nicely and on target. Maybe SF is just playing off because they're ahead and making him look good? He lit it up in Cleveland one year, got a big contract, but then everything fell off.

His rep is that he has a good, strong arm, but is inaccurate. Lurker could fill you in better, but I believe that is the same complaint people had when he left college.

Westbrook played well; he will feature as # 1 RB vs Packers as Gore broke his hip. Bo Jackson related injury?

That was a brutal game to watch. Westbrook and the 49ers looked pretty good but AZ looks worse than Buffalo so I'd take the performance by San Fran last night with a grain of salt. Of course you can't take them lightly cuz the 9ers get paid too. I hope we take our frustrations out on them come Sunday. I won't be able to see the game live cuz I have a performance with my Sweet Adeline chorus.
