View Full Version : Greg Jennings refers to himself in the third

Sef0r

This is nit-picking I know but I myself am always concerned when someone refers to themself in the third person - reminds me of TO and Walker when things got to their head.

Here is a direct quote from Greg Jennings interview after today's practice on Packers.com

"I don't try to go out there and prove anybody wrong, I try to go out there and do what Greg Jennings does and thats play football."

I hate when people refer to themselves in the third person, Badgepack's getting mad

Nobody will ever be as bad as Karl Malone.

This thread makes retailguy think that SOV was really correct - "there is nothing to talk about right now"....

hahaha, it is my opinion and my experience that concerns me about this. Like I said, its nit-picking but man, I love the replies

When someone talks in the third person it is not that bad. What is bad is when they talk about themselves in the fourth person!

Hey, as long as he isn't hearing any responses from Greg Jennings he'll be fine. It bugs me to, but if he just does it occasionally, that's fine. It's the guys that due it all the time that bugs me. Maybe he was saying it jokingly. I feel pretty good about his character. He comes off very well in his interviews. I believe both of his parents are pastors or ministers or something like that.

CyclonePackFan would like to point out that Greg Jennings referred to himself twice in the first person to once in the third person.

Before you know it, September will be here, as will debatable topics.

MadtownPacker thinks that WRs should have a lil bit of an ego. The traitor walker was Mr. Teamplayer up until 2004 and what good did it do?

Jennings showing it on the field is all that matters.

Greg Jennings is starting to become a solid player for the Pack! I really like the guy. He has a chance to start! He has been playing so well of late. He made some great catches the other day. I am looking towards big things for that kid!

CaliforniaCheez
08-08-2006, 07:44 AM
CaliforniaCheez thinks play on the field is more important than media interviews. CaliforniaCheez reminds all that Sherman was dull at press conferences but that was okay as long as Sherman was winning more than losing.

CaliforniaCheez would have liked Jennings picture on the "horse trailer" this season but accepts that the picture will not appear there but will look forward to third person post game interviews from Suzy explaining how Greg Jennings felt.

This is a little concerning but Driver has some of that flare too and it never stopped him from being a good team player.

woodbuck27 says, that Ziggy ( as usual) has it correct.

woodbuck27 says, Greg Jennings can third person it, for the next decade in Green Bay for all he cares.

Actually, I do immensely. I only discovered it yesterday and already I'm getting more Packer news and reporting than I've seen in two other Packer forums I've been going to all summer (and for years, actually). It's great. I just said so in another thread. Hell, I don't even want to argue, just to read.

Miami Vice? Funny! I rented a video last night for the first time since the baby was born. It was "Failure To Launch". I can't say that I didn't wish I had picked out the movie--instead of my wife.
